Pakistan: Remittances set to cross record $28bln this year

.
perhaps you being an insider and (likely on its payroll) would know that better than I would

Perhaps USA sources of information collection do not rely on idiots like Khawaja sahib. :D

. .
Or Perhaps You change Your flag from Pakistan to Bharat Mr. Vikram Singhal.. this charade has gone on long enough and it's not fooling anyone.
If I am not mistaken, it is Syed Ali Haider, though I do not know which country he originates from. however a flag is no guarantee of loyalty to any particular country, just look at fat pandit, sayad ghardari, molvie diesel-chor et. al

PTI isn't fixing anything. Its IMF stupid. They are running the show.

Problem is what happens once IMF is no longer there..... yeah more spending out of thin air. We again go to IMF and cycle continues.

PTI haven't done shit apart from devaluation forced by IMF which helped exports. Look what PTI can fix instead.

Remember circular debt was supposed to be 0 by end of 2020?
We know this by experience of four times that when IMF leaves PMLN fucks things up

We dont know about PTI
we will know in 2023
Lol you are so pessimistic.
Jhangheer tareen meray baap key tarah hey (maryum nawaz)
Just to give idea how far behind is Pakistan economically :
In 2019, Japan exported a total of $696B
South korea $542, B
China $2.499 trillion
In 2019, Vietnam exported a total of $280B
In 2019, Pakistan exported a total of $26.6B
What were vietnam exports in 2008?
Just 50b vs ours of around 24b

Then we became asian tigers under nawaz sharif and zardari

Though our problems started in 1983 with punjab finance ministr

Lebanon is shitty ME state that was known for good life despite not having oil, a borrowed economy. At the end it collapsed on its own weight just like all other middle eastern states will do once oil run out in few decades.

Pakistan need to learn from these experiences and go hard against tax chors, bijli chor, smugglers, and reduce debt to GDP ratio. Otherwise in few years who knows what will happen. We basically need to copy India economic management since 1991. Maybe this Hindutva Modi will ruin them with debt but since 1991 IMF program they have done well.

amazing thing is our remittances are more than our total exports

means the 2 million Pakistanis abroad send more back home than the 220 million living in Pakistan export

And we have people wanting outright enmity with GCC. Half of those remittances are from GCC.

I cannot agree enough with both of these statements.

this is the main issue as previous Pakistan govt main focus was to increase economy through local consumption and imports, but i am happy that current govt is at least serious in making Pakistan an export based economy.
local consumption is also good but for big growth we should have big exports plus big local consumption to support growth..
I would b happy with 40
i would be happy if it doesn't go down just like in PMLN era.:(

a stable growth of at least 10% in export would be very good for at least next decade or so.

However, in the context of this thread, Pakistan ranks pretty highly on remittances per capita and remittances as a percentage of GDP scores.

we want exports not this money the real worth is exports damn

This is also exports...export of manpower :-)

BTW Pakistan exports will increase substantially in coming years. WHY?? Lots of huge expansion going on in many industrial sectors, the export based textile industry is investing in capacity expansions.

The SEZ's, many export based will make a big change.

The new deal with IPP's, the hydel cheaper power with 10 big dams under construction will lower the electricity cost, the main impediment to cheaper production in Pakistan compared to BD, India and others. By 2028 the dams will be operational.

IT exports is rising will reach 5 billion USD in 2-3 years, more in coming years.

Food exports too with China helping in Agri boost.
