Pakistan releases 17 Indian prisoners
LAHORE: Seventeen Indian prisoners who were serving sentence in various prisons across Pakistan were handed over to Indian authorities at the Wagah border on Wednesday.
They were arrested for overstaying, for not having proper documentation and for crossing the border illegally.
The 17 were released after serving their sentences.
Speaking to media representatives, the released men said they were happy to go back to their country and that they were not mistreated by Pakistani authorities. DawnNews
