Pakistan has rejected Afghanistan’s unsubstantiated allegation that Taliban reorganise in Pakistan during the winter period.

Speaking in a debate on the situation in Afghanistan in the UN Security Council, Pakistan’s acting permanent representative to the UN, Nabeel Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eliminate all terrorist networks.

He said, “Sanctuaries of terrorists have shifted to Afghanistan due to successful operation Zarb-e-Azb, the results of which are widely acknowledged by the international community.”

“The drivers of the recent upsurge in violence lie within Afghanistan, not outside,” he added.

The Ambassador said the presence of a large number of terrorist groups and organisations in ungoverned areas of Afghanistan present a continuing challenge to the long-term stability of Afghanistan and its neighbours.

He said peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan has yet to produce results, but that is not due to lack of efforts on Pakistan’s part.

Nabeel Munir said Pakistan is hosting millions of Afghan refugees and is committed to their return in honour and dignity.

. .
This is based on actual facts ..

Afghan gov do not control anything outside capitol city.. so they need to bring their own house in order first..

Also, they need to address , Indian RAW agents working in Afghanistan against Pakistan..

1.) Even if we assume that Afghanistan's counter-productive allegations are true, Afghanistan has no right to complain because TTP's #2 (Latifullah Mehsud; death warrant recently signed by the COAS) was retrieved by JSOC (after an ISI intel tip) from an Afghan NDS convoy.

2.) Pakistan helped get Ghani elected. Earlier, we hosted Karzai. What an ungrateful bunch!

3.) Afghanistan's problems are essentially those of governance; most institutions, police forces, etc., are a joke and many elected / govt officials are ex-warlords and current drug kingpins.

This is expected from Pakistan. Nothing new.
Its simple ask the government in afghanistan what they are doing on there side at border ?Why don't they closed the border for sometime and then fight talibs inside. lets say

Unfortunately but that's the truth that Pakistan is not supporting any of the Taliban groups and it is sad that Pakistan is being alleged for something it has not been doing lately. I wish GoP change its stance and help some good AfghanTaliban to throw these terrorists out of Kabul and bring peace and stability to the region. I just wish :(

Afghanistan should use 800 or 900 of it's great generals to defeat taliban in next summer.
