I posted an article from your own news in which your parliament was told that you received 6000 foreign tourists in 2015. Please post the source which says 1 million.

Even if it was 1 million Pakistan is still more unsafe since India is only 3.5 times bigger than Pakistan.

As for visa free travel or visa on arrival -

http://www.immigrationworld.com/ind...xempted-from-visa-obligations-to-visit-india/

This list shows a cumulative 14 countries which India allows. Now please cut the crap and come to terms with reality.

http://www.indiaodysseytours.com/news/india-to-extend-visa-on-arrival-facility-to-180-countries.html

180 countries for visa on arrival that means you are inviting 95 % of the world without any restriction. Buy a ticket and land in India jeez how difficuilt is that?

966000 visitors per annum . We have stringest visa rules in place .

If a country is unsafe how much easy visa access you give nobody would visit it..
Most of the countries give e visa to boost tourism..

Australia , Sweden , Norway , Iceland are all the safest countries in the world but yet India gets more tourists . India welcomes 95 % of the world without a visa. Not everyone can wait weeks and weeks for visa its a big hassle and the first thing that traveller has on his mind. Look up your figures before giving e visa and then after .

hahaha the obsession that Asians have with Goras and with their Complexion/Blue eyes...even the Faqeer and the most Nalaeik Person from there is seen with such admiration here...

I don't think those "tourists" (invaders) were invited, ;)

And Iraqis or Libyans, or Afghans certainly did not have any obsession with them, :-)

May be Pakistan should offer such visa-free or visa-on-arrival facility too, to increase tourism?

Pakistan should introduce e-visa to increase the numbers. Our visa rules are stringent and puts off alot of people to apply in the first place. Tour operators have monopoly on how much they can charge tourists and if one wants to visit individually you need a local sponsor .

That is a good first step. Providing good and secure facilities would help tremendously too.

One thing about Pakistan is that it may appear unsafe from a distance but once you are inside Pakistan, it feels safe...

In India, different people have different view of safety....For high caste Hindus, it is very safe but for women, tourists, Muslims, Christians, Dalits ..... it is not safe at all by any stretch of imagination...So if they considered high caste hindus only, then it makes sense.

Last time one Pakistan journalist came to India he was shell shocked to see women's riding scooters on India road. And a Pakistani has a audacity to talk on safety. Thousands on Indian women's work on IT industry, Electronics, Factory all over India. Rapes, harassment happens and there is more reporting cos there are more women working. Unlike my neighbouring nation where rarely women's are allowed to work or ride a scooter.

Nobody can identify a dalit or christian by looks. Another idiotic fail from you. The comments by other Pakistanis are very true here when they blame expatriates to have a more extremist mindset than Pakistanis themselves.

I would say the first thing they will notice is the increased amount of poverty , litter and beggers everywhere . Foreign tourists that have visited both has attested to that. Anyone visiting from delhi to Islamabad will feel like he has landed in a first world country :D

That increase is probably related to CPEC, not proper tourism, I think.

I think you didnt read the website. It said Tourism visa and that Pakistan is emerging as a place to visit by the chinese . CPEC folks dont come over on a tourist visa here.

I did read the website. It said a 37 fold increase, which is very different than a 37% increase. Both figures are not very meaningful, in context, and I will stand by my assessment. Such huge claimed increases are often due to small absolute numbers, mathematically speaking.

Islamabad is like NK of Pakistan. People who get out of Islamabad will know the reality. Sadly Pakistan does not have enough tourists to attest to that.

http://travel.india.com/articles/ta...places-in-2016-it-should-be-on-your-list-too/

Just an example. Tamil nadu sure itself receives more foreign tourists than Pakistan combined. If I add Goa, Kerala, Rajasthan, Mumbai to the list, then it wont even be a equal comparion.

Your post about Tourism in Pakistan is from the year 2012.

I posted an article from a respected Pakistani paper about statistics of tourism given by your government in your parliament in 2015.

As for tourist visa on arrival. You posted some random link. This is a link from the Indian tourism ministry web site-
