Net effect is that Pakistan has re-emerged as a regional and global player. Its now seen as a peace negotiator between Taliban and America. Even those factions within Afghanistan who were staunch anti-Pakistan are now talking in soft tone when it comes to Pakistan. As for internal problems, I don't know which world you live in, but if images are going out in the world that in your nation's capital minorities get slaughtered in bright day light, pogroms or what not, it all adds up to build India image a lawless and unstable country which in turn will scare away the investors. China is a global power already, you really cant compare with them, neither they have massacres and pogroms happening in Beijing, let alone in any other cities.
Kinda silly comment to make when world 3rd and 4rd biggest nuke powers are your neighbours. And you are right, world do not care, we have seen how India strategic allies in west behaved when China conquered 1000 sq kms or Indian claimed territory and clubbed 20 odd Indian soldiers to death. Not a whimper in support to India, no intelligence sharing given to India of impending PLA march into India. Perhaps its a lesson for Indian establishment to learn.
GCC hardly been helpful to us all these years long before the present situation over Kashmir, but there are others who are supporting us and that the reason you see Pakistan getting involved in Azerbaijan and Armenia conflict to pay back Azari support over Kashmir. There are always be others to step in if few wants to leave. Pakistan is too big , too powerful for not be on your side.
