Pakistan preparing 'detailed response' to Trump’s allegations, says official

I don't think they will attack us directly, but they will continue letting those Hindu rats in Afghanistan plus the Afghanistan traitors to kill innocent women and children while they shop in markets.

Pakistan will continue to bleed for many years till someone comes along and destroys the current political system.

After many more years of blood on Pakistan's soil and the continuous terror bomb attacks, coupled with a corrupt political class, Pakistan will be ready to be invaded.

The strategists of Pakistan need to put their heads together NOW, the current political class and the system that binds them must go. If not, Pakistan goes.

.
Pakistan is in a shitty situation now. Hope FO's response at least counter balance trump's statement.
It's like trump said to india that u can take AFG, and to Pakistan to prepare for the american proxies/ small strike like Salala incident.
I agree with those who say that we need a good FO. Now in Pakistan there isn't a single man in government who have enough balls to defend Pakisatn on intl forums.

I pity the Afghans for laughing over Trump's statement on Pakistan and not realizing the fact. US sending more troop and spending more to take more lives of their fellas countrymen.
Additionally, more influence in Afghanistan & I wonder why don't they want freedom and get rid of US influence in their country. Slaves will remain slaves forever.

Nationalist Afghans specifically the Northern Alliance have their own agenda in mind which is the weakening of Pakistan in order to establish their own greater Afghanistan spanning all the way to Attock, after Independence Afghanistan was the sole country to vote against the admission of Pakistan in UN in 1947, they also usually berate Pakistan with derogatory racist terms like the Punjabi Army, and or Daal Khors, the Muslim brotherhood that should exist between two Muslim nations is nowhere to be seen because their inclination towards their own race which they consider to be superior to black Punjabis and Afghan Nationalism is far greater than their inclination towards Islam which muddles such barriers, it is such that they would continue to welcome the US and India specifically to help fund this covert war against Pakistan.

It doesn't matter how much we try to help them, their hatred for Pakistan is almost to a delusion/pathological level because they believe that the Punjabi Army occupy Afghan land so any help the Punjabi daal khors provide is only reimbursements for their so called "occupations".

The US and India are fully aware of such Afghan mentality and are only delighted to use Afghans for their own agenda, we should be ruthless in dealing with our enemies because they will be ruthless in harming us, they have proven that many times in the past, and anyone who values his own race and nationalism over Islam and other Muslim should not be considered Muslims themselves and we should set aside such Muslim love and brotherhood towards real Muslims for example, Turkey.

Pakistan should seriously consider an ICBM. Trump is way too untrustworthy and dumb to dangerous levels.

.
Better to be smart than brave.

The choice is to escalate or de-escalate with the policy response statement Pakistan comes out with next.

I am sure the phone lines are buzzing between Islamabad and Beijing right about now.

Or at least they should be.

When necessary, Pakistan had done that in past. Real question should be, can Pakistan neutralize US assets working within Pakistani establishment and military? If that answer is yes then answer for later is also yes.
Besides, Pakistan is in better economic shape and virtually no dependency on US.

The choice is NOT escalate or de-escalate. Choice is to serve Pakistani interest and national security. Any type of response can be justified to make enemy or adversary recalculate their action against Pakistan. Pakistan has wide range of options available including stopping transit route and complete shut down of border.

It was US that ferrying ISIS terrorist and their arms and ammunition; Pakistan should work with Russia and directly put US generals on spot.

The Afghan ambassador to USA could barely contain his glee at the thought of military action in FATA, KPK and Baluchistan yet he has no qualms about US raiding the homes of innocent Afghans in the early hours of the morning, not respecting the cultural values of the females.Kudos

Its US military and their Afghan stooge government carrying ISIS terrorists and their weapons. Pakistan should work with Russia, China and Iran to expose US operating terrorist proxy.

Afghanistan is ripe for proxy war

Russia has hinted in the past that the United States is covertly sponsoring the Islamic State in Afghanistan. On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson raised the bar by alleging that “foreign fighters” who were transferred by “unknown helicopters” have perpetrated a massacre of Hazara Shias in the Sar-e-Pol province in northern Afghanistan. The spokesperson said:
  • We can see attempts to stir up ethnic conflict in the country… Cases of unidentified helicopter flights to territory controlled by extremists in other northern provinces of Afghanistan are also recorded. For example, there is evidence that on August 8, four helicopters made flights from the airbase of the Afghan National Army’s 209th corps in Mazar-i-Sharif to the area captured by the militants in the Aqcha district of the Jowzjan province. It is noteworthy that witnesses of these flights began to fall off the radar of law enforcement agencies. It seems that the command of the NATO forces controlling the Afghan sky stubbornly refuses to notice these incidents.
From the above, it appears that sections of the Afghan armed forces and the NATO command (which controls Afghan air space) are hand in glove in these covert operations. No doubt, this is a very serious allegation. The attack on the Hazara Shias must be taken as a message intended for Tehran. Historically and culturally, Iran has affinities with the Hazara Shia community in Afghanistan. Possibly, the Trump administration, which has vowed to overthrow the Iranian regime, is opening a ‘second front’ by the IS against Iran from the east.
Interestingly, Russian Foreign Ministry also issued a statement on Friday on the alarming drug situation in Afghanistan. It pointed out that:
  • A sharp increase in drug production is expected in Afghanistan this year and one-third of the country’s population is now involved in cultivation of opium poppy.
  • The geography of the Afghan drug trafficking has expanded and now reaches African continent.
  • Tonnes of chemicals for processing narcotics are illegally imported into Afghanistan – with Italy, France and Netherlands “among main suppliers”.
  • The US and NATO are either unwilling or incapable of curbing the illegal activity.
Russia and Iran cannot turn a blind eye to the hostile activities by the US (and NATO) in their backyard, transforming the anti-Taliban war into a proxy war. They cannot but view the Afghan conflict through the prism of their deepening tensions with the US.
What are Russia’s options? The Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting with the top brass in Moscow on August 18 that the Afghan conflict poses a threat to Central Asia’s stability. He said that Russia plans to hold joint military exercises later this year with Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Russia has military bases in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Again, Ambassador Zamir Kabulov, Russian presidential envoy to Afghanistan, said recently that if the Afghan government and the US are unable to counter the IS threat, Russia will resort to military force. Kabulov disclosed that Russia has raised in the UN Security Council the air dropping of supplies for the IS fighters in at least three provinces in northern Afghanistan by unidentified aircraft.
Of course, it is inconceivable that Russia will put “boots on the ground” in Afghanistan. But if the IS breaches the borders of the Central Asian states, it becomes the “red line”, Russia will hit back.

Russia is reinforcing its bases in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Significantly, in a joint military exercise with Tajikistan in July, Russia tested its Iskander-M short-range ballistic missiles, one of the most advanced weapons in the Russian arsenal, with a range of 500 kilometers and a payload of 700 kg. Iskander is equipped with terminal guidance systems with the capability to overcome missile defences. Iskander’s accuracy could be better than 10 meters. (Russia has deployed the deadly weapon to Syria.)

Why is America responsible for the mess in Syria ?? I would say American inaction has caused the mess. If they had acted earlier Assad might be gone by now.

Iraq has per captia income 4 times that of Pakistan. Iraq is much better place than under Saddam

This has to be sarcasm but I will bite.
Syria was perfectly fine under Assad. How is Iraq a better place under ISIS? What on earth does GDP have to do with anything?

.
The decisions that Pakistani military has to make have been spelt out quite explicitly: catch terrorists such as haqqani network, hafees saeed etc; stop supporting taleban. These are double-cross deeds and Pakistan has to stop such duplicity. Not just for getting back in good books of the US, but for its own sake
Who exactly supporting the TTP? Jamat Ur Ahrar? Baloch separatists? All of these terrorists are sat across the border in AFG. Pakistan is acting in a responsible way to seal the border the Afghans are firing at the Pak army engineers. Tell me who is playing the double game. Maybe India can take the remaining tens of thousands of Afghan refugees Pakistan has hosted for decades? Since India is being pushed as the new player in the region.

Your last sentence is the path of escalation.

By de-esclation I mean Pakistan taking measures to soothe US ire whatever those measures may be, at least in the short term. It simply has to ride out Trump's hopefully, only term.

Of course there are inherent Pakistani interests.

But perhaps Pakistani strategists should consider what are the Americans TRUE aims in this policy shift.

Then react accordingly in the mid and long term. While in the short term de-escalating any sort of public confrontation.

This Trump address is on the face about Afghanistan. But there are many many other issues at play which have not been disclosed to the public.

*And I say this because I view the Trump admin having some similarities with the Bush one in the last decade, namely a simplistic president advised by intelligent, motivated individuals with clear agendas, and thus able to implement them without much critical thought and input from the president. This scenario did not exist under Obama and was probably the opposite. Such a scenario would not have existed under a Clinton admin. This being the case, Pakistan really has to tread carefully in the near future.*

US never consider Pakistan as an Ally, US only used Pakistan against Soviet Union and Talibans. US real mission was to destabilize Pakistan through proxy war and seek its Nuclear weapons, in which the US has failed badly for the last 16 years. But now they are moving toward a more direct approach toward Pakistan and are giving straight-forward threats to Pakistan and its armed forces. Its their new Foreign policy and Pakistani Military forces should stay alert.

Pakistani Army should place more troops and SAM units near Afghan border to counter any US attack, if US try's to challenge Pakistani Sovereignty.

History Check:-
US is not invincible !!!! it lost 445 F-4 Phantoms in Vietnam War. Out of which 382 were lost in combat. Other sources say's "US lost 895 F-4s in Vietnam". Vietnam Air forces only had MIG-21s and MIG-17s.

US lost more than 2000 aircrafts all over Vietnam, while Vietnam only lost 200 Aircrafts.

Syria fine under Assad ? How do you come to that conclusion ?

At the peak ISIS controlled 25% of Iraq. Right now ISIS lost control over all their Iraqi possessions

What does GDP have to do with anything? I can show dozens of posts where X has a higher GDP than Y. GDP is not everything. A country with per captia income 3-4 times that of Pakistan cannot be too bad.
