A recent survey showed that 60 million Pakistanis were living under the poverty line.
According to a recent report by a Pakistani new channel, the Prime Minister house has spend millions on hot beverage, alone, in a year!
The house of the PM has apparently spent Rs10 million on tea, ARY News reported.
The issue of spending such an exorbitant amount of taxpayers' money was also raised in the parliament.
A recent survey showed that 60 million Pakistanis were living under the poverty line - that is one-third of the population.
The prime minister has come under scrutiny for spending a whopping Rs 638 million on foreign trips since he assumed his office in 2013.
The Prime Minister's Secretariat budget for fiscal year 2015-16 was Rs842 million. The daily expense of Prime Minister's Secretariat and House was fixed at Rs2.306 million for the current financial year.
The Pakistani PM is not the only South Asian minister to be slammed for spending 'lavishly' on a snack item.
Recently, it was reported that three Indian union ministers from Karnataka spend Rs300,000 to 400,000 every month on food and coffee at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru.

I wonder if offshore accounts are also listed as tea!
Who spends THAT much on tea when a third of your people are below poverty? 2ndly, why should tax money go for this? Shouldnt there be a maximum budget limit on tv?
