What does banning sports players achieve, except making you look like unreliable hosts and further deteriorate relations? I ask again, what business does the sports minister have commenting on Pakistan?

India is the one trying to "punish Pakistan", its ridiculous and nonsensical that it would ban players, but continue trade. If you are really trying to punish Pakistan, then why not stop trade and raise prices in Lahore by a few rupees? Why shamefully use sports as a political platform?

Who has mudered whom? The players, the artists, who are usually only a means of connnecting with people and diffusing tension. What is their relation with politics? And why is it fine for 56 incher to do Bhangra in Nawaz's daughter wedding, why do we keep asking for consular access to Indian held by them, why don't we break all of our economic activities as well. Why restricting to arts, sports personalities? Fair/Unfair is another matter, they aren't even consistent in applying a straight policy. That's Indian politics. They come to power as a result of people being frustrated by Congress and BJP's promise of getting Indian growth in double digits and putting an end to militancy, securing borders, little could they do different in economics or security. All they can do now is use the authority, they get by being in center to control media and give a show to people, hey look , we did it.

Also, do give some examples of which other nation takes this kind of stance. Have we taken any such measure against China? Are we taking any such action against USA for the propaganda they launched against us and support they gave to Pakistan during initial decades of partition for not taking their side. I agree Sports should not come in normal Political rows, but is India and Pakistan relations normal in an sense. The comparison with any other country does not stand, does USA or China sent terrorist in metro city of India and killed hundreds of Innocent lives.

We are following this all goodwill and friendship nonsense of your beloved congress for last 50 years , instead of improving , relations have gone from bad to worse.Also sports ban was in earlier government regime also.

One thing i agree PM Modi should never have visited Pakistan, this all peace or track 2 is just bullsh**t, neither of country is capable nor willing for peace, it all should be left for future generations.Only thing we can do is cut off remaining whatever contact we have and go separate roads.That include sports , trade as well as entertainment.Let us find our path, let them find theirs no need for any shared vision or other peacniks theory.

Pakistan is importing Food articles, Medicines and only essential goods from India. Pakistanis are coming to India for getting medical treatment. Pakistanis artists are never forced by Indians to work in India.

If Pakistan wants to ban all trade and economic activities with India then she will be a loser. The bilateral trade amounting 2-3 billion dollars will hardly affect Indians but might push prices of fruits and vegetables in Lahore.
