Pakistan pivots to center as US and China vie for regional supremacy

Pakistan interests lie with with a China led Eurasian bloc. It should keep an eye on working toward a greater ME/NA bloc (this is still a work in progress). Pakistan should keep friendly terms with USA and continue counter terrorism collaboration however USA's two main foreign policy objectives (spreading turmoil in the ME and containing China) don't sync with Pakistan's interests.

Of course Pakistan is free to do whatever it decides is in its national interests as a sovereign nation. Equally, every other nation will do the same. There is no issue here, really.

The issue arises when USA threatens and imposes sanctions! And then starts military campaigns!

Under Biden, I thought that things will change but opposite is happening. I think Americans are now in indian camp. Pakistan is playing games. China is clearly not happy with this new government of pakistan. Yes absence of Chinese contingent on 23rd March and some people change policies on single phone call, that's enough evidence of Chinese displeasure. I don't think that pakistan is in any camp. India influence is working like a charm. Bad foreign policy. Bad governance. Everything is so bad that I can't even explain it. We are very much alone.

Incompetence is at the peak here. Pakistan has gone far away from China to cajole US. But US has already taken Indian as its alley and partner. Us is forcing Pakistan to accept Indian subordination and play second fiddle to indians. We resented China by slowing down CPEC. If Pakistan wants to befriend with both, then only way is self reliance. We have destroyed our economy by maligning our institutions and people. Our economy is too fragile to stand against India without Chinese support right now.
Political instability and Infighting, weak economy, terrorism and lack of long-term planning are our major hurdles, We are wasting our energies in political turmoil and leg pulling for personal interests. As long as we don't get mature to sort out our difference without endangering our stability, harmony and economic growth continuity, we can not compete with our rivals.

Pakistani army generals are smart. they know exactly what they are doing. They are trying to force a bidding war between China and USA. CPEC is not a freebee from China. Every $$$ has to be repaid. How are you going to repay it with the crappy economy of yours ? If the bidding war between China and USA does not happen they are going to avoid becoming slaves of China

They have to play really smart to outsmart Indians, Holding back CPEC. is not a wise option for Pakistan, US is trying to stall it, with no alternate offer except going into Indian hegemony. US needs to play wise, to see the entire scenario with their own eyes and minds, not through Indian eyes. Pakistan China interests coincide with each other so their support is natural. While opting for US (Indian Ally) will not be a wise option.
Pakistan is not bidding war, our interest is in peace not war. Peace is more beneficial for the region, maybe, It is not favouring US military complex.

Pakistani establishment is stalling on CPEC. You skipped the part about repaying $62 billion

Please keep in mind that every nation must use every and all means at its disposal and within its means to pursue its national interests. There is no issue here.

Starting wars is an issue! Only a fool would say that a war or a threat of a war is not an issue.

USA only has unilateral sanctions and wars routes left now. UN is no more in control of USA or West for that matter anymore.

Considering that war is simply policy implemented by other means, it is just another tool to serve national interests, and used only where needed, and only to the extent needed. No issue with that either, according to international geopolitics.

And UN works by consensus, not by exerting control over anyone.

Convince me why Chinese option is so bad and how it is comparable to US option.

There is a day and night difference between US and China treatment towards Pakistan.

Only a fool would say that China would treat Pakistan similarly as the US did. History and actions prove that China won't exploit Pakistan. China doesn't aid nor arm Hindustan against Pakistan. The US actually assists Hindustan against Pakistan.
My guy he's telling you that Pakistan should stay neutral in this Second Cold War. Extract as much investment from both sides and work on economy, and maybe enter this cold war later. Right now, economically we rely on both the Chinese and the West. Making choices would f**k us over

"Pivots to centre" would be nothing less than a betrayal of grand scale after receiving all those funds and support from chinese side ;economically, militarily, politically. Even Indians can see how much China vouched for Pakistan even at UN, infuriating whole of India .

Best policy here, in my opinion, may be, to connect Russia, China, and Region around these countries to Indian sea, and let's just build a shield, with the help of these countries, which is impenetrable .
