What's new

Pakistan periodically attacking militant hideouts in Afghanistan

There is also a difference between a 'targeted drone strike' (if one has the technology to do so) and 'dumb artillery strikes' (working with what we have) while retaliating against hostile forces that have attacked Pakistan's security forces, villages and innocent civilians, and 'targeted strikes' that are conducted in the absence of an 'imminent threat and pursuit' of attackers. The latter would be the US MO.

It is not the time for Pakistan to create more enemies through dumb artillery. Obviously, as Mastan Khan said, that this opportunity can be used for media purposes but consolidating on this stance of bombing un-eyed will not be fruitful in this important stage of the game.
