Pakistan, Oman to hold joint naval exercise

ISLAMABAD: The Royal Oman Navy and the Pakistan Navy are conducting a joint exercise titled Thamar Al Tayyib in the North Arabian Sea from December 15 to 20. The exercise is a biennial feature meant to enhance inter-operability between the two naval forces and improve security in the maritime domain. The exercise has been divided into harbour and sea phases. The sea phase would include serials designed to refine sea combat tactics, practise command and control and fight asymmetric threats. The Royal Oman Navys surface ships Dhofar and Albatnah are participating in the exercise.
