watching this forum anonymously since last year ago and just sign up.. I really expecting there would be much cooperation between indonesia and pakistan not only in aviation and military, but also in other sector, such as economy, education etc...

you're completley right brother....

US impose arms embargo to Indonesia.. thats why most of our F-16 are grounded. the ban has been lifted in 2005, and lately they come offered us stuff like chinook, F-16 and any other, but it is rejected by goverment and parliament, because lesson learn from arms embargo.. thats why we buy russian fighter..

Mig-35s?????? They have Sukhoi's only at the moment.....if you're talking about buying Mig-35 then it would be more approperiate to buy a single type of AC in large order for lowering both PU cost and maintenance headache.....

I'm not sure what is indonesian air force plans, and considering the finances and plans to invest into KFX program, indonesia has barely money to buy another platform, perhaps they will upgrade F-16s only.

actually, we have small budget for defence and military spending is not top priority, thats why we have small number of combat aircarft

and arms embargo teach us much, so I think it is right choice to join South Korea in developing KFX

JF 17 is good for countries who want to buy large number of fleet but their defence budget do not allow then to buy expensive 4th generation Air craft such as F16, F18, Mig or Shukoi...JF 17 can be bought in larger numbres with no political strings attached with flexibility to integrate with all kinds of wepons and AWCS capibility. The best part of JF17 is that it has got a lot of room to grow as far its capibilities are concern and world see china as a future super power so who does not want to hve a good relation with a future power and can improve their imortance in western countries.. so the decision for Indonesia is very good and long term if its in the favour of JF17.. i will ask Turkey and Indonesia come and join our hands and make each other strong...

it is the fighter air craft market. it is nothing like shopping at a mall.

the stage of "Finalizes" came much after the intiation...

even eastablished market bosses like USA, Russia and Europe have taken years to get one MMRACA deal finalized..

the JFT is still just a couple of years old. it will take some time before its performance specs will actually be know to the world, PAF is persuing potential cutomer to have a look at the bird, they will analyze it, compare it with other available options, evaluate it and the "finalizes" stage will follw, Inshallah.

JF-17 was delivered with Chinese Avionics, Why did pakistan Opt for French Stuff Instead???

Well IF This aircraft is configured with Western Avionics and Stuffs and still Selling it for the same Price Might cause a Huge worry For the Nations You mentioned

JF-17 is going to be best seller and for your kind information PAF inducted 8 air crafts till now just to evaluate the air craft with their requirements...these 8 JF-17`s are prototypes i must say because of some very top secret up gradations and avionics
so i am very proud to say that its batter then 30 year of development of LCA which still don't match the requirements of IAF (MRCA`s)

what happen if the US,were to give f-22, f-35 and a-10 for 1/2 the price of it original cost just to destroy the Asian market ?
