Agreed! At the moment the focus should be on developing low cost kits for testing. Yesterday i asked Chugtai Lab in Lahore and they were charging 7900 for test which is too much. At lower price more people will be willing to get themselves tested rather than relying on government.
Having said that its not a bad thing if we have gained the capability as our exports have dwindled due to COVID-19 and things like ventilators masks and sanitizers are hot commodities.

I can't comment on ventilators but we can easily export plain fabric masks and hand sanitizer. Markets in Pakistan are full of these products. Markets in developed countries are in need. We should look to export.
