Pakistan not responsible for failure in Afghanistan: McCain

india is major bone of contention between both countries ..... GHQ feels insecure in presence of india in Afghanistan ..
normal relations with india aren't issue but its the negative control of india that real worry for Pakistan and very right thing to worry about ... proxy war will be continued as india want an insecure western border of Pakistan and Afghans are surving their cause very well ...

.
I for one think that Afghans would be naive to put all their dirty laundry in the GHQ's basket, since issues like corruption, nepotism are not the creations of the GHQ but internal Afghan problems. Furthermore issues such as cross border terrorism, suicide bombings, beheading etc are of course done via GHQ proxies and there is no doubt where they get their trainings, funding and logistics.

As for what Senator John McCain statement's I see it more a reflection of US internal politics aka democrats vs republicans than GHQ's policies vis-a-vis Afghanistan.

PS : Mullah Mansoor was found in Baluchistan, Mullah Omar was treated in Karachi and current Tali head honcho is in Quetta and not in the backyard of Obama.

It would be lame to blame all those terrorist activities, killings etc on Pakistan while simply ignoring decades long history of differences between the Afghan population themselves. Pakistan may only be blamed to some extent to be using the situation to there advantage but it is Afghanistan who will have to take the responsibility of creating that situation in the first place. Why we are taking advantage of it, well the argument can be dragged for as long as we want to with me saying that we are left with no other choice and you saying otherwise. The fact is, we are in a mess and it wont sort itself out!!

.
It always surprises me how nonchalant Pakistanis are about supporting Taliban in Afghanistan yet feel violated and betrayed when they don't find Afghans welcoming them with open arms as their 'brothers'. More so, their cries for revenge against India and Afghanistan for supporting Pakistani Taliban that too without having produced a single smoking gun to boot while their is plenty available evidence from Pakistani sources themselves as to how Pakistan supports insurgencies in both the countries.

.
Yes i know taliban come and hide in Pakistan bexause they dont have a place for hiding in afghanistan despite the fact that they control more area then the mayors of Kabul.

Your point being? Is it that the Taliban were killed elsewhere and their bodies ported to Pakistan, to give a bad name to Pakistan? Or did they lose their GPS systems and think that Quetta was actually some small town in Afghanistan?

well we think other way around , every suicide bomb and terror attack in Pakistan has roots in Afghanistan and direct involvement of indian and afghan agenices ....
the day afghan will shun its biased policy towards india things will change in positive direction in this region but i don't see in near future as indian funded afghan media and paid leaders are brainwashing afghan youth against Pakistan ,,,,

This is innovative.

So now India is funding the Afghan media? Nothing blunt and oafish about us, only the usual Chanakya type diplomacy.

Sometimes it is difficult to recognise us in a loyal Pakistani's mirrors.

And if you say taliban are crossing from Pakistan then why dont you bring all your forces to border and make checkpoints and secure it???
Whenever Pakistan talked for securing the border afghan go back to previous centuries stories, you know what i mean

I take it you have measured the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, have numbered the ANA and worked out how many kilometres per capita it comes to.

If the Pakistan Army did the same, it could make sure none of those pesky Afghans came across.

If the Indian Army did the same, it would not have to keep killing terrorist WITHIN.Kashmir. It would have been killing terrorists outside.

Just responding to the PS, neither Mansoor nor Omar were considered terrorists or enemies, infact the US has categorically stated that the Talibaan are not their enemy. Furthermore, Mansoor wasn't living in Pakistan, he had just entered Pakistan to transit into Afghanistan after visiting his family in Iran.

However, being an Afghan, none of the above will make any sense to you.

Entered Pakistan with a Pakistani passport, who are you kidding?

Anyways doors were open for Talis to come and make peace, if they refuse and kill Afghans the Afghan gov has the right to ask Pakistan to evict them. They murdered 30 young afghan cadets in cold blood and took responsibility for it. The current Tali headhancho is in Quetta opening making Shuras, how do you think Afghans should react ?

We have weak systems, even you can get a Pakistani passport if you the right amount of cash. Cannot blame us for that, can ya?

Ironically, the US could just as easily have targeted him in Iran or Afghanistan. What was the particular reason of targeting him in Pakistan........that is if he was targeted by the US at all!

.
Says the man who took. photos with jihadist in Syria.. He can say what he likes but it doesn't change the reality that Pakistan played double game in Afghanistan...

Pakistan participated in WoT as an ally of the US and as a result got billions in coalition support fund and yet Pakistan covertly supported the Afghan Taliban for its own agenda.

On the one hand my Pakistani friends maintain that ISI is the world premier spy agency, and here you are telling me that they had no clue about this dude making trips with Pakistani passport ?

Anyways you and I both know that we are running in circles, you will raise one argument then I will raise a counter argument until the judgement day, the core issue here is peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Talis, Haqqanis, TTP are just bunch of proxies.

Peace will only come if both countries make peace and address each other's genuine grievances.
If you are worried about Indian influence to create instability in Pakistan via Afghans then Afghans are ready for a third party verification and we will address your concerns, we are not stupid enough to part of the greater India Pakistan rivalry.

But as @pakistani342 maintains that Pakistan will only make peace if Afghanistan hands over Defence and Foreign policy decision making to GHQ, then that my friend is a pipe dream.

Sir it is a porous border. If we were able to stop those Afghan Taliban from entering Pakistan wont we have done so with the TTP bastards who are literally killing our children? Or are you or any one suggesting that TTP too is some hoax of ISI? I know you are not. TTP and its support in Afghan areas is a know fact. The problem here is that the border terrain is such that it is nearly impossible to container cross border movements. Thus the calls of fencing the border.

This is innovative.

You know that i wont deny our own follies but the India connection in there and cant be ignored. It was there since the time of Afghan Civil war and Indian closeness to Norther Alliance. The major part of the problem in Afghanistan still remains the difference between northern alliance supporters and Taliban sympathizers. Something people usually ignore when they set out to blame Pakistan and ISI for everything wrong with Afghanistan.

And yes, you are right about the loyal Pakistani thing, people usually tend to ignore the facts and harsh realities specially if they implicit them or there country in some wrong doing. It is the same for everyone. Thank you for keeping an open mind, a broad view and sharing your thoughts with us.

Thanks for explaining the presence of Afghan Taliban in our lands for me. :)
I know you can look at the broader picture and see that this argument works both ways.

This is just as "proven" as TTP leaders hiding in Afghanistan and TTP getting training there. Lets talk about real things and not speculations.

ISI may very well be extremely good but they are not GOD!

However, where was Mullah Omer or Mansoor every declared terrorists by the US? And was it not the demand of Afghanistan for Pakistan to bring Talibaan to negotiations? What happened when we did? There are elements within your Government which do not want to see peace with Pakistan and will just about anything to ruin any chance of peace.

US and India are on the exact same page as well.

Then why the fvck did your northern alliance thugs open fire on our soldiers when we were and are building fences and gates on the Torkum border to better regulate and control the terror activities coming in and out of Afghanistan?
