Sorry for the late response, was enjoying the weekend away from it all.

For your first point.
In some way, shape or form, that was the case. Many on this forum will somewhat agree that the powers to be at times ( elected, or self appointed ) have sold the nation ( Pakistan ) for self interests or for very short gains. If you hang around here long enough, you will read the news that there is a line forming to do so again 'for self gains,. We ( US ) now just have to see which one we want and can get the max out of them. Thus the game goes on, we may opt to hand over dozen or two surplus F-16s, few other goodies and have inroads like in the past. Will you get upset when used and or new goodies land in Pakistan ? That Aircraft carrier visit, will it still mean the same to you ?

However, my response was that as the leading Super Power, we have gotten use to using other nations ( exception UK, as others have pointed out as well. ) Yesterday it was Pakistan, do you really think we will sit down and see you with equal footing ( USA ) ? If you want to live in that delusion than sure, in future your NSA 'perhaps / likely' will make a similar statement.

PS: Not the case of 'Grapes are Sour,'

Pakistan's PM Imran Khan and NSA Dr Moeed Yusuf have simply checkmated India on many fronts. As an Indian I have to accept this reality. Wish India had such strong performers.
