It's confusing, while many Google search says it has the GSP+ status, while in other news it reads BD is opting and looking to get the GSP+ status.


Bangladesh enjoys Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP) status in 37 countries (28 EU member states, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Japan, Turkey, Canada and Russia and Belarus). GSP provides exporters with reduced or zero duties when exporting seafood products.

Oops got it, BD had the GSP+ status but was suspended(the first news link was old) They the EU and other countries keep revoking the GSP+ after 2-3 years, it seems.

Its not about win or loss its about truth the truth is no LDC is in GSP+ list bit those whom have a bit better record then LDC are in list.pakistan have compromised so much for getting GSP+ . We were one of the highest giving capital punishments country back then but we stopped it full 5 years.pakistan still need to do so much as EU asking for.

Thanks for the link, didn't know the difference between GSP, GSP+ and EBA(Everything but Arms), how cleverly these people have segregated the countries.

And yes BD was in EBA being a LDC, and good to see Pakistan placed with Philippines and Sri Lanks. India is in GSP...

BD want to be a LDC for some more years to benefit from the EBA status...
