Pakistan Needs a Visionary Leader

Gotta concur with that. the problem is that the kind of upheaval required to change the system in the short term involves there being a big mess.

Long term education is the only way there will be change. When people will not be flanneled by the likes of the current batch of wasters.

Keysersoze . . . I don't know what you have in mind when you state that Pakistan may have to undergo a "big mess", but, do you think it will look something like the calamity we have at the moment !?

A political sytem that nobody in the country trusts or supports, a military held in disrepute, citizens fighting and killing their own army, an army taking blood money from America to prosecute an illegal/immoral campaign against its own people, economic collapse threatening and NATO+US forces camped on the doorstep waiting to come in !!??

This is not your definition of "big mess" ! ? ! ? :what::undecided:

Are you waiting for a meteorite to hit the National Assembly, perhaps !?

Imam Mehdi !?

There is, scarcely, a sentient Pakistani - educated or not - who does not believe that the system needs replacing. Pakistan needs an emergency bypass . . . speed is of the essence, the nation needs a credible political system that will unite the state and the people in order to tackle the many challenges that face the nation.

Well frankly the problem is that the people who have vested interests (the current shower of SH** who run the country won't leave easily. And the army is doing what is needed to be done. You can't have civilians popping across the border and causing trouble.

but like I said on other threads you have a agenda and like spouting off words like "illegal" and "immoral" without understanding the reality of the situation.

The fact is that the mess is multi layered. corrupt politicians-Religious extremists who decide they know best and can create their own foreign policy. And frankly hold back any meaningful progress vis a vis investment and growth in science and other sectors The general lack of education (other than religious schools which are nice but won't help the economy)

The system needs a reboot. New faces not the same crap again.
