What's new

Pakistan needs a Two Child Policy

any measure which is taken before conception is allowed. Humans have created an ecologic imbalance. Devouring jungles, other species, mineral resources, cultivatable land, etc.etc etc.

Islam is a not a religion it is a code of conduct defined 1400 years ago for another couple of thousands of years. It gives you guideline to achieve comfortable and good quality of life. I do not want to go into referring of The Holy Book, but it has no where said that we have produced man and woman to reproduce, but has referred to something else.
Yes I know but that's a very short period and within that if some action is taken, that is perhaps okay. But once it has been conceived then it is not allowed except under extreme situation when there is a veritable risk to the life of both.
I know sir we humans have wreaked havoc on this planet and now some zombies are planning to leave for mars or other planets but the matter of fact is that, it is not human population but the reckless use of resources that is causing the troubles. The amount of food wasted in the rich countries, is more than sufficient to feed all the poor of this world. House holds, food chains, restaurants and even govt waste immense quantity of food items only daily basis. Food chains and restaurants do it to keep ripping off the customers. My friend who is doctoral candidate in area of sustainability in Stockholm University told me that most of the restaurants in Sweden throw away huge amounts of good food.
Similarly, during cold war, our USA threw millions of tonnes of wheat in the ocean while there was a famine in USSR, an act I still feel ashamed of though wasn't even born yet. Africa can produce a huge amount of food but it has been mired into civil wars that western elite is trying to perpetuate.
Thus population is not really the culprit here but the bad intentions of some.
By the way, I personally think the ideal family size is 2 - 4 kids. Parents should be educated and made aware of their responsibilities. They should think in terms of how much quality time, education, and life they can provide to their kids. I personally feel, I can raise 1-2 kids as per standards I just described. That will slow down the population growth and it will be more sustainable and natural.

Agree, but it is no where mentioned that such law cannot be made. In fact if such law is passed in Pakistan it is obligatory on us to follow, because following law of land is also mandatory.

In fact this explosion of population is because of a govt law. Many may not be knowing that it was and is a law that a person who has 12 sons will get 25 acres of agriculture land and will qualify to be Nambardar of his village.
..
law of land if it is islamic then it MUST be according to the teachings of islam and not against it. if you are in non muslim country then it's ok with "law of the land". either stop reciting "kalima" or enter the islam completely. don't find ways between the two. Quran is not a book of law or physics and no human being can grasp the complete knowledge hidden inside it. one has to do a lot of research to find the hidden answers. e.g. people say that second coming of Prophet Esa AS is not mentioned in Quran and yes apparently it is not there but a very obvious verse which points towards the second coming of Prophet Esa AS. read surah al imran but IN THE WAY IT SHOULD BE READ. but who has time to study Quran these days and think about it. majority of muslims of today are simply pathetic and ignorant.

If other Muslim countries can do it so can we
Those who wish to protest can do that but our policies should be based on realism
Sorry not going to happen and even in those countries even the campaign is doing nothing and will do nothing because family planning is against Islam and sooner or later people will rise to stop this crap. Those who want do family planning well go ahead but ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW doesn't allow it.Those who want to break orders of ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW are free to go ahead only would face more trouble and misery in life.

I can read urdu but not the jaded and old language used in these books but if you can provide me English links sir, that will be most appreciated otherwise just provide me references and I will try to search online. I'm enjoying discussion with you since you are a knowledgeable person :)

It isn't working and would fail further really soon.

Sir as I said, I can't understand that kind of language but I will try...Is it available in English..I mean what is the relevance of the "fridge" in this context?
Issue related to sex and other issues are discussed in the Quran. And children who are born in Arab families understand from young age what is being said. We need to start reading Quran and Sunnah. Many things will turn out to be totally different to what our parents and society were telling or let say selling us.

IMHO such polices are ALWAYS doomed to fail, especially in a country as disorganised as Pakistan. Even in the highly authoritarian nation of China there was blatent flouting of the one chile policy amongst certain groups and certain parts.

What makes more sense and that will have the most benefit for a developing nation as a whole is to invest in EDUCATION and women's rights. There is already ample evidence to show that as a population becomes more educated and women more empowered the fertility rates plummet as a byproduct.

Either way, Pakistan is too early in its demographic transition model to artifically enact such polcies that will only seek to stunt its economy. Making sure each and every child (regardless of gender) gets a decent education right up until a tertiary level is key to harnessing Pakistan's young population. Don't see them as a burden but as an asset.

Correct. And that's precisely my point. As Pakistan develops economically, its birth rate will decline naturally.

Developed countries can better afford to cope with the problems of a declining or stagnating population than Pakistan. It still has a long way to go.

Countries that aren't developed like Iran and China are experiencing problems with their declining fertility rate. Not to mention that even developed countries with low fertility rates are using immigration to fill in the gaps.

The situation in India is particularly interesting. In southern India, fertility rates have incredibly already fallen below replacement level. While in Northern India (outside of the northwest), they remain high. I expect a lot of north-to-south migration there in the coming decades.
Spot on, also note that the Southern states in India have incredibly high levels of literacy (well above the national average).

India has higher population and higher population density than Pakistan. And this very fact is the reason is India is getting stronger day by day. Large populations brings larger markets and larger economies. The only thing which Pakistan want is a sincere leadership which will adopt effective public policies on important sectors i.e. education, health, economy etc and every problem will be solved.
Population size alone will not create economic prosperity BUT if leveraged correctly CAN do so.

It's not "fridge" bro .. It's Farj .. meaning vulva

And I don't think this tafseer is available in English

Actually , Pakistan needs to worsen its medical system. That way not too many will survive yet people can enjoy their natural experience.
That's sick. What would you do if your child suffered as a result of this poorer medical system?

Also, such a policy would more than likely have the opposite effect and force many families to have more children to ensure some would survive, causing the medical system to get even worse, causing more births and so on and so forth.

This would be a race to the bottom that would only seek to keep Pakistan poor.

First of all Quran is book of law, physics, chemistry, medicine, etc etc. Its just that we are unable to interpret it. This is my belief and this is what Quran itself has professed.
Secondly, according to Islam, law of land has to be followed, unless it is contrary to the principles of islam like if they make it mandatory to drink or eat pork. Any taxation or limitations which do not disturb basic canons of Islam is to be followed. Like if there is a tax and it is evaded, activity related to it becomes haram.

Agreed to an extent in many europion countries tax is lessened if you have more children to promote more population. but as hazrat ali ra said "apni chadar dekh k paon phelao" population isnt really an issue if we concentrate on better leadership and governance along with controlling miss management all countries who r predicted to grow and get developed are countries who have more population pakistan is one of them if we control corruption and miss management
This matter is not about molvi and progressive this matter is actually about population extremist who want to progress only based on population and less population extremist who want to progress without population with less emphasis /concentrating on corruption and miss management and guess what we should find a way to be balanced opinionated in this regards!

Sorry bro .. Can't agree with you on this ... As the Holy Quran itself says exactly the opposite:

"And indeed, We have made the Qur'an easy to understand. Then, is there any who will learn?" (54:17) ...

And this verse has been repeated four times in the same Surah .. i.e. v 17, v 22, v 32 and v 40

Funny coming from a shameless Zionist, for who every Muslim is less than an animal.
What is there that's shameful about Zionism? Apparently the word has different meanings for you than for me. Re-defining words for select groups is a common trick of tyrants.

...for who every Muslim is less than an animal.
You've been drinking wayyyy too much of the anti-Zionist Kool-Aid: you're too drunk or misinformed to perceive reality clearly.
