PN has put lots of resources and time on Azmat. There's no logical explanation to think they did all that just for one off pice. so they will develop more of same even some further development of same.

As far as gunboats we can't say anything until more information is available. But keeping in view that in today world missile boats are more favour in rather than old style gunboats. These are most likely going to be small patrolboats just for law enforcement rather than actual naval warfare.

what we need is a totally separate ship building city where you bring in young kids teach them the basics of ship building and step by step keep add more technical knowledge by working with Chinese , Koreans and our Turkish brothers for both commercial and Navy ships. Karachi shipyard has become like a Sunday market with too much going on in a small place .Plus We cant carry on like just assembling kits for our Navy requirements. Over the years i have seen so much Pakistani talent being wasted all over the world for no reason my own grandfather was working in a Norwegian ship building company in the 80s .

We have 700 KM coast line , the ship building factory can be Built anywhere
However I really don't understand , a presentation meeting for a Tug Boat

Tug boat is something , any small company can build on contract, it can even be bought from outside , it is none strategic asset

These type of vessels are typically used for patrolling and security ops around ports and naval bases, also can be used for Infiltration/exfil for Spec Ops.

First, its not entirely indigenous as KSEW had invited foreign manufacturers to provide KoM for an unproven design that was mainly made by PN Pakistan Design House (PDH) in Karachi. Something like the above image

Second, These Gun Boats are much larger than the Polish Boats obtained form PN Marines. Not the same boats.

Third, the tugs are also KoM from the Danish manufacturer and for KPT requirement.

By the way, after induction of 4th Azmat class FACM, which FACM is under construction now in KSEW? More Azmat class?

I think 4th Azmat class FAC was launched in Nov 2019 , so they may be talking of fitting , testing e.t.c , as it is not commissioned till now .

A Gunboat is a generic term and not a specific type.

It means that PN is not ready to share the details as always.

They are designed for patrol missions, and littoral warfare operations, including escort and fast attack missions, insertion and extraction of special forces.

They can be fitted with high-seed propulsion system consisting of diesels and or gas turbines, all powering water jets. The diesels allow upto 30 knots patrol speed, while the gas turbine will enable the boat to reach its maximum speed of 55-60 kts.

They normally have a crew of 6 - 20 depending on the role and size.

Mission packages can include stabilized naval turrets with automatic guns (30 mm), 12.7mm machine guns, multi-sensor payloads, search and rescue equipment, decoys and special operations and divers support equipment.

Can SSGN use the Gun boats ?

They would be primary users. These boats are for patrolling ports, coastal area, delta and rivers as well if required. Armed with a gun only they are not adequate for modern naval warfare. Since these boats are being termed to have stealth features, the only explanation to add that to design is SSGN ops! Otherwise they wont be coming up against radar equipped frigates that they need stealth.
