We noticed, since last few years Pakistan Navy and Air force both have more emphasis building surveillance groups. But don't see Pak army doing anything in building high altitude surveillance drones.

Pakistan Army has acquired surveillance UAVs as well as armed UAVs. They currently operate Chinese CH-3, newly induced squadrons with Army Aviation Corps and Air Force.

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex is also working on several UAV projects, armed and unarmed(surveillance) which will take some time to mature.

Pakistani naval officials confirmed today that they have added one Lockheed P-3 Orion long-range surveillance aircraft to their aviation fleet.
The aircraft was supplied to the Pakistan Navy by the US, under the Security Assistance Programme (SAP) program of the U.S. Department of Defence. A function was held at the port city of Karachi, to mark the occasion. Senior naval officials attended the function, including Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila, the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) for the Pakistan Navy.
Pakistan had signed an agreement with the American defence manufacturer Lockheed Martin six years ago, for the delivery of 7 Orion aircrafts. The Navy received three of the aircrafts in 2010, while another two were delivered in 2011. In addition to the Orions, the Navy is also operating 7 ageing Fokker F27-200 Friendship naval surveillance aircrafts, which it had acquired during the 1980s.

So where are those 3 P-3Cs AEW&Cs which were included in the deal. If not wrong then there might some in the US being fitted with the Hawk Eye systems.

That's the point! Pakistanis keep cursing the hell out of the Yanks at the drop of a hat, but readily ask for and accept their weapon systems without batting an eye! Hypocrisy? :P

The truth is: "I loved, will love, and will always love America and what it stands for, till the end of days. After all, these are the guys who give us the goodies in the form of greenbacks and weapon systems".

Needless to say, the yakkity yak against them is just for public consumption! Oh yeah! Carry on.....

.
after Mehran fiasco i read that there were 3 more Orions to be delivered by the US on an already financed order.

is this one of those?

.
Whats America up to? Arming up both India and Pakistan? India-Pakistan-China is one hell of a powder keg! :undecided::argh::disagree:

P8I is better than P3C.

Pakistan Navy inducts American-made Orion marine surveillance aircraft is the subject we are discussing here. No one was comparing P8 with P-3C.

I take your one-liner post as an attempt to derail the thread. Reported!
