A military version of the Hawker 800 called RC-800 is in use by South Korea for tactical reconnaissance, surveillance and SIGINT

Japan uses a maritime search and rescue variant of the Hawker 800 designated U-125A. This variant has large observation windows, a flare and marker-buoy dispenser system, life-raft and emergency equipment dropping system and enhanced salt water corrosion prevention. The aircraft also has a Toshiba 360-degree APS-134LW search radar system, melco thermal imaging equipment and other military communications equipment for its mission.

The APS-134LW radar, developed as a baseline design for Raytheon's Sea Vue family of radars, was co-developed by Raytheon and Toshiba as a lightweight, commercial search and rescue radar for the JSDF. Raytheon's co-product partnership with Toshiba provides the APS-134LW as the basis of what JASDF calls the APQ-2 Radar. Toshiba is supplying the radar transmitter and antenna reflector for the APQ-2, which is installed on the JASDF U-125A (Hawker 800) aircraft. Raytheon also supports Toshiba with yearly spares, repairs and technical support.

Comparing the Haker 850XP and P3C Orion, the latter has longer range and endurance as well as weaponry but is slower. It is primarily an ASW asset, with ASuW capability. The Hawker is faster but has no weapons and is shorter legged. It is primarily a ASuW asset, with secondary air surveillance capability..

Far better if they gave away the duties to PAF then they mught got 5 Saab-340MSA and 7 Saab-2000MPA with wepons carriage.

. .
Far better, except that neither comes with weapons carrying capability....

Saab 340 MSA - Maritime Security Aircraft

Saab 2000 MPA - Maritime Patrol Aircraft

Yeah! You are right sir. But PAF could have done something else like: Upgrading all of the 5 Berquet Atlantique as well as bringing all of the Foker from PN and PAF transport fleet into MPA role by over hauling them at PAC Kamra in 2004 and also getting the PIA ones as spares. They can buy about 7 Saab-2000AEW&Cs and getting 2 Saab-2000AEW&Cs for Naval role, also getting 11 Saab-2000 and 7 Saab-340 for transport role for PAK Military and similarly 11 Saab-2000 for PIA too...

.
So did PN get the required ELINT equipment?
I think they didn't and had to sell the Hawkers at loss.

. .
Well why they just dont buy hawk eye system than

It was offered fitted on the P3C but for some reasom the $900m FMS was not accepted. 5 P3C were selected as EDA for this purpose.

Ok, lets go through what the PN uses, ill start from most modern:

Ada/Jinnah Class frigates:

Thales/Aselsan Smart-S mk2
This is a PESA radar, medium to long range, up to 250km in search mode, up to 150km in defense mode.

Type 054a/p frigates:

Type 382 air search radar- Pulse Doppler array.
Type 344 fire control radar- not very many details available.
Type 345 fire control radar- once again, not many details, likely another pulse Doppler array

Zulfiqar Class:

Type 517 radar- this is a bit iffy as theres a 517M which is aesa. Most likey, its a non AESA radar. However, a very powerful system regardless, its a VHF system with range of 350km for an RCS of 4m2.

Alamgir class:

AN/SPS-55 -Pulse doppler
AN/SPS-49 -Pulse doppler

Tariq Class:

Swiftships 75m corvette:

TBD

Yarmook Class:

TBD
