Pakistan Navy interested in type 056

Could it mean that the 8 Type 056 might come from the Chinese inventory(if mass production of it is ending)...and China may be looking to sell some of the older(relatively) stuff...
...so they are offering it for cheap to PN?
Most logical conclusion it story is true. if they were to be build brand new than why not go for more Type 54

may be PN is working on a new Strategy to use smaller ships to counter much larger IN ..
If smaller boats are not able to survive missile attacks then they shall be no good for PN. The AD capabilities of PN ships should be foremost priority considering the ASHMs to be used by our enemy including both subsonic and supersonic in large numbers.

Sorry. Pakistan brothers. because of China's backward shipbuilding industry. we cannot satisfy the fantasies of our Pakistani brothers. we give up.

Please seek help from Europe, Turkey or other countries.

lol, why are you being salty and taking it personally? The fact is the 056 is a pretty poor ship for our current threat environment and considering we literally own the IP for a far more modern ship with infinitely more powerful sensors, far lower operating costs and a lot more flexibility, why on earth would we go for a legacy platform, that like the F-22P's would become obsolete within a matter of years and will require significant upgrades to make it even slightly survivable.

It would be great if they are backing bigger Ships in size. That is why in my opinion Type 54 and MILGEM order will get doubled.

Dude, you are being childish here.
Everyone can have a point and it's not you or me or any of us here to decide what to buy and sell.

056 is really backward. It can not even cruising the English Channel. so we are sorry. our backward shipbuilding technology cannot solve your threat. Please seek help from other countries.

Yeah, im fairly certain we will see a follow up of both too. Its a good idea anyway, both are great, modern platforms, perfect for the PN.

PN has taken interest in the type 056, especially the ASW version, at this stage it is a study analysis of the platform capabilities and other aspects.

If this interest is changed into a firm order, upto 8 vessels could be purchased. Again this is subject to finance and some other considerations.

Why T-56 now?? We already ordered Turkish ships and other assets to take ASW operations.

China has built over 70 Type 056/A already since 2011, and the number continues to increase...

Any updated / upgraded version planned or some other successor design will replace Type-56?
