Pakistan Navy has commissioned the Ferry Ship, PNS BALOCHISTAN, into its fleet making it the 4th Ship to be inducted this year.

The commissioning ceremony was held in Karachi and attended by the former Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral M Amjad Khan Niazi.

The ship was built by the Jiang Long Shipbuilding Co, China and will primarily be utilized for troop & equipment transport between the Coastal Units & Karachi.

The addition of this ship will greatly help in boosting PN's logistical capacity.

According to below source, this ship was built in 2022. 700 tonnage and 55 meters length

Can't rule out the VIP tours actually. I vividly remember during the 90's there was a news of upgradation for a medium sized ship (perhaps PNS larkana) in Jang newspaper. I was thrilled and excited to see what upgradation it got, maybe some new missiles or stuff. But details showed construction of "VIP room". It was utter disappointment..

This is waste of money. Could have ferried personnel in Naval coastal tankers that routinely ply between, Karachi, Ormara and Gawadar to support the vessels deployed there.

Morons needs to get bigger transports, Type 75 which can carry One units across. Order 8 of them, with VTOL fighters on top, means 2 brigades, 8 regiments/units can be moved

No commission for sepoys in that...their whole economic model for which they imported Dracula Dar and Hippo Nawaz is to import, import and more import...IK was being a pesky thorn in their sides for building things in house and promoting exports...
