6 Coastal Patrol ships , for CPEC Route , coming from China Shipping Corporation
ISLAMABAD -UNS : China will provide six patrol ships to Pakistan Maritime Security Agency for the protection of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The agreement was signed between China Ship Trading Company (CSTC) and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) during a ceremony at Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP) in Islamabad yesterday.
According to the agreement, the vessels will be used to prevent illegal activities in the sea. In addition, the four ships will be constructed in China while the remaining two will be built at Karachi’s Shipyard and Engineering Works.
The spokesman for MoDP said the two vessels would be used to stop unlawful movements of miscreants
who wanted to foil the CPEC project.

Pakistan – GRC43M Cutters | The Official Home of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency
WASHINGTON, Oct 30, 2014 – The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Pakistan for GRC43M Cutters and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $350 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.
The Government of Pakistan has requested the purchase of 8 43-meter Global Response Cutters (GRC43M). Each Cutter will be a mono-hull design made of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP). Also included in this sale: outfitted 8 25mm or 30mm Naval Gun Systems, 32 M2-HB .50 caliber machine guns, 32 7.62mm guns, 8 8- meter Rigid Inflatable Boats, ballistic/armor protection of critical spaces, command and control equipment, communication equipment, navigation equipment, support equipment, spare and repair parts, tools and test equipment, technical data and publications, personnel training, U.S. government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services, and other related elements of logistics and program
support. The total estimated cost is $350 million.
Pakistan Navy in general have been searching for proper Navy Ships
such as Type 054 Frigate from China or 3 OHP frigates with Air Defences
Some of these units might come in future (as Navy has need for 4 ships)
It remains to be seen if we will see more OHP or perhaps this Newer Generation Ship in Coastal or Sea based good will duties for Pakistan Navy
