What's new

Pakistan must take Bangladesh head on.

Wake up kid, you are dreaming :D

Pakistan is on one of most important strategic locations of world and that is Why China, KSA, Iran, Kuwait, UK, UAE already investing in it.
Lmao. Do you know how much India and China is battling it out for their influence on Bangladesh and Bay of Bengal?
Ps. All the countries you mentioned except Iran has invested in some way or the other in Bangladesh on huge scale.
Besides we trade with all this countries... so not necessarily a great feat.
Ps. Your lack of knowledge and countering arguments proves your maturity... nothing more to say

Hasina is an idiot, the bulk of the Bengali people are a fine lot.

You are not alone in bay of Bangal and it's not about bay of Bangal it's all about Chinese string of pearls which India want to counter.

Wake up kid, you don't have clue who is investing and where in Pakistan they are investing even Russia is getting ready for investing in Pakistan. UK is investing in PSE, UAE & KSA in many sectors, China many sectors, Russia oil, Gas and other sectors.

No. Hasina attacking Pakistan costs her little. The reality is Bangladesh has to deal with India, one way or the other. Even Zia did business with India. Better to trade goods than bullets. Hasina might be a tyrant, but things are good in Bangladesh economically and long as people benefit, no one will rock the boat.

There will be a day when Hasina's rule will end, but this does not necessarily mean at India's expense or Pakistan's benefit.

This.
What are the differences between Hasina and Her alternative Khaleda Zia? Nothing. Both are women, follow almost similar ideology and similar policy. One likes to show friendlyless to India, Another treats It like any other country. Remember India sheltered her for 6 years after 1975. This difference doesn't influence public life. So people are Happy. As long as her development continues, with Zero popularity All will be ok for her. No one wants to turn the country into turmoil like what happend in ARAB SPRING.

And just like that nobody cares about what Pakistanis think, feels and the world isn't interested in Pakistan either other than how to stop Pakistanis troll bombing people of the world in the name of Islam. Hence the discussion of the thread is over.

Do you have any Idea how many Countries are even Interested in Investing in CPEC ? . As for what the world thinks and feels about Pakistan let me enlighten you .

In a positive development, MSCI said its Pakistan Index will be reclassified to the Emerging Markets status, coinciding with the May 2017 Semi-Annual Index Review.

MSCI is a leading provider of international investment decision support tools. Its decision is to upgrade the country from the Frontier Markets status is expected to generate inflows of global portfolio investment amounting to $475 million by the middle of 2017, according to EFG Hermes, an Egypt-based investment bank. Last time I checked Bangladesh was still a frontier market for the world .

Pakistan’s stock market, which has risen the most in Asia this year, could be in for an additional boost after MSCI Inc. said it will include the nation’s equities in its benchmark emerging-market index for the first time since 2008 .The Karachi Stock Exchange KSE100 Index has gained 15 percent this year, making it the best performer in Asia. The gauge has climbed 4.2 percent this month, compared with a 0.5 percent decline in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index. Pakistan's stock exchange is currently the best performing in Asia . We even had a Pakistan day in NASDAQ . People around the world are investing in our stocks because we provide the best returns . Last time I checked Dhaka stock Exchange wasn't even in discussion .

Bangladesh is still an LDC country . The world listens to Pakistan because unlike BD it isn't one .

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China–Pakistan_Economic_Corridor

Russia , Iran , Saudi Arabia and even countries like Czech republic are interested in This regional game changer called China Pakistan economic corridor . The only country that might be as important for its location is Turkey . Pakistan has attracted the attention of the world for its geography .

This is just the economic aspect and a little insight for you . Military wise we are a regional power with enough muscle to be ranked in the top 10 . We have been part of some of the most important events of 20th century like the Cold war . Many superpowers like America , China , Russia lobby for us . In the recent Saudi - Iran spat we were the mediators and made it possible to cool down the whole thing . Raheel Sharif is more respected than any other general around the world. Look at the level of respect he gets wherever he goes from Brazil to Russia. Brazil Even gave him their highest civilian award . How many Generals around the world command that sort of respect ?

Pakistan was and will remain one of the most important countries in the world economically( In 10 years time) , Militarily(Regional power possibly in top 10) and the strategic location that it enjoys .

For new opportunist living in comfort zone, like yourself - sure Hasina is all good while it does not effect our life. But for people from rest of Bangladesh who does not live in few KM of elite comfort zone, life is much different and grasping for change by any means. They just need spark or leadership. Hasina-KZ comparison does not fall in context of this discussion and shows your immaturity in broad base thinking.

Your government is not elected by one person, it is representation of majority vote by people of Bangladesh, now open your eyes and mind.
Hello, she wasn't elected in true sense as she schemed for army to conduct coup and later arrange a rigged election to bring her in power at 2009. I explained it in details at BD's section right after the election. Secondly, her party never came to power by real majority's vote, i.e. in 70s or 96s or 2009s or 2014's election. I explained it in details at BD's section as well. Finally, she can do it and get away because of India's deep involvement in BD's polity. Just because of BD's unfortunate geography and its pre-47's rulling-Hindu-Zamider's know-how of its fabrics that stayed in W. Bengal, India got it in platter. In 1947's partition, BD's Muslims became even bigger victims than Kashmir, IMO. You can have in depth understanding by reading 'RAW & Bangladesh' by Zoinal Abedin, thanks.

Stock markets are in a bubble. Mark my words. The Dhaka stock market will rival Pakistan stock market.

As far as strategic location of Pakistan goes lesser the said the better. Pakistan is adjacent to India which has not been exploited. Pakistan is the only outlet for Afghanistan which is a failed state.

Might be a bubble in your case but our Stock exchange has been performing like this since 3-4 years . That is why it got upgraded to Emerging Market Status . NASDAQ even had a Pakistan day on 14th august . That never happened before .

As far as location goes CPEC is going to take off in 1-2 years which is going to be a game changer . We are already seeing positive effects due to CPEC . World is taking note of Pakistan . Chinese are coming to Pakistan in droves (Both Business and Tourists ) . Iran , Russia and Saudi are very keen to be a Part of it . Its once in a lifetime Larger than life Project . We took a while to take advantage of our location but better late than never .

@Horus

Pakistan can do number of things, question is how far Pakistani establishment will go.

in immediate term:
1) Pakistan can increase contact with expatriate Bangladeshi social, political and dissident communities in USA, UK, EU and greater ME and in Malaysia; lend them support and amplify their voice against un-elected regime and repression.
2) Help Bangladeshis expose and publicize Hasina's son and other awami leaders corruption.
3) Expose indian interference and activities in Bangladesh.
4) Put diplomatic pressure against awami league regime by using its influence with Saudis, Kuwait, UAE, Turkey.
5) With help of Saudis, convince IDB (Islamic development Bank) to suspend yearly credit line to Hasina regime; that alone will cause immense pressure.
6) Influence Chinese policy in Bangladesh and coordinate with them. China typically follow hands off approach due to lack of reliable partner in Bangladesh. Pakistan engagement could fill that gap.

In mid-term
6) increase contact and assistance to indian NE people.
7) Provide support for NE people aspiration for independence.

if I am a shareholder I am not complaining about a stock market bubble

as far as the CPEC goes it seems a hodge podge of a project with a naval base in Gwadar for China
I do not see CPEC bringing any short term benefits to Pakistan

Pakistan interest in Bangladesh is always linked to last 2 objectives

the question for Bangladeshis of all political colors is whether they allow Pakistan to use their soil for last 2 objectives

Pakistan should take Bangladesh head on!!!!!!! What is this joke?

Can we send the jamaati pigs on a frontal assault. Would Indians allow these scum bags to cross the whole of India and confront Bangladesh or may be they can swim around India. :D:D:D

Now that india taken Bangladesh independence, killed thousands using its proxy awami force; threatening to choke all rivers - for our own survival, Bangladeshis have legitimate right and need to do anything necessary to survive.

India has not running Bangladesh. Awami League is. Whether you like it or not Awami league has a core support base like the BNP. India is working with Bangladesh on river water sharing, flood control and other economic projects. creating violence in NE India serves no purpose for anyone.
