Pakistan missile test H2 Abdali !!!!

They changed the fins and this implies the guidance system was also updated. Possibly, some flaws were modified. This missile after all uses fins instead of jetevactors for steering.

What I don't like is the absence of a vertical launch. A ramp launch looks too much like an unguided rocket, and makes for a different TEL than for the rest of the round types.

Why are we insisting with this Stromboli derivative when we can use the Ghaznawi in a tactical non-nuclear role, possibly in a depressed trajectory? Cost?

Rawalpindi - March 11, 2011: Pakistan today successfully test fired its short range Surface to Surface (STS) Ballistic Missile Hataf-2 (Abdali). The missile test was conducted as part of the process of validation and technical improvements in the Land Based Ballistic Missile Systems.

Hataf-2 (Abdali) with a range of 180 Kms can carry nuclear as well as conventional war heads with high accuracy.

The test was witnessed by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General (Retd) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, Commander Army Strategic Force Command Lieutenant General Jamil Haider, Chairman SUPARCO Major General Ahmed Bilal, Senior officers from the Armed Forces and Scientists and Engineers of Strategic Organizations.

On this occasion the CJCSC reiterated that the test will go a long way in consolidating Pakistan’s Strategic deterrence capability and further strengthening national security. He said that in the hierarchy of military operations, the Abdalli weapons system now provides Pakistan with an operational level capability, additional to the strategic level capability, which Pakistan already possess because of its medium range and long range Ballistic missile systems. He further added that Pakistan’s resolve and commitment to continue its strategic progress will remain paramount.

The successful test has also been warmly appreciated by the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan who have congratulated the Scientists and Engineers on their outstanding successes.

Would you treat retaliation against Israel in case NATO or let's say the PLA attack you, knowing that there are their other allies with their military bases that are less distance from you? Why would you riposte to Israel when you can more efficiently handle the attack by acting against SArabia or the UAE?

Do you think anybody that dares attack Pakistan could be deterred by an ICBM? The US for example will have 3 of their own ICBMs targeted at each of yours, and will have over a thousand to spare, like they did with the USSR. They'd even have the capability to shoot down yours and you won't.

An ICBM is a misleading term. Are you talking about the 5500km one or the 15000km one? You need the latter for the US. Ours could only serve as deterrence against forces in the middle east and in [south-]east asia if they come in alone.

Webby, don't you agree the forum should be an 18+ site?

you should be aware of the fact that Shaheen-III would not be an ICBM , I am talking about having deterance. Deterance to keep your enimies away from you :hitwall:
your post is just like a childish one, ask any one and then delete your own account from the froum and go to some 18+ forum.:p:lol:

Its indeed a routine test.

Abdali can destroy very near targets in India. Its accuracy is sufficient for use against military targets such as bases or airfields. It is carried on a road mobile Transporter-Erector-Launcher (TEL) vehicle. The use of solid propellant and the TEL vehicle make the missile easy to store, transport and fire.[2]

The Abdali-I has a range of 180 km and an accuracy of 15 m CEP.[2] It is equipped with an inertial guidance system with terminal guidance. It can be equipped with a variable payload up to 500 kg, and can carry single HE explosive or cluster sub-munition warheads. It has a launch weight of 1,750 kg. It uses a single-stage solid propellant engine and has a length of 9.75 m and a width of 0.56 m. Abdali is nuclear capable

So the role of Abdali would be to target Indian miltary basis in a case of insurgnecy

Having a 180 KM range has got multiple advantages during a battle, espicially if used on the terrain.
Cheaper and can hit the Army on their troops.

Make a system of verifying if a similar thread has been already posted on the forum, then the so-called race will be over.
