Pakistan's minister for defence production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has called for his country to enter trilateral defence industrial collaboration programmes with Qatar and Turkey.

In a meeting held in Islamabad on 27 October with his counterpart from Qatar, Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, Hussain said in comments published in a Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP) press release that the three countries should leverage their strong ties by setting up defence manufacturing joint ventures.

In comments reported by Pakistani state media, Al Attiyah also stated that Qatar was "desirous" of acquiring the JF-17 Thunder combat aircraft developed and produced by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and China's Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation.

I'm all for it. Although we are on the right track for it, Pakistan NEEDS TO strengthen our relationship and collaboration with Turkey to the same level as with China. They are a brother nation of whom we share a lot in common with.

If the Arab and Sunni folks don't want to see tanks within the Haremain (Mekke+Medine), they better pull their sleeves up and start thinking and stop quarreling. It's just a matter of time for the re-enactment of the same scenerios, currently being played in Syria+Iraq+Libya, in Hijaz as far as the Sunni folks are concerned. Elhamdulillah the Muslim government in Turkey is fully aware of the plans (Istanbul in the North and Mekke in the South), and inshaAllah will resume it's thousand years old responsibility with renewed vigor and motivation. It's time to regroup and come up with plans and actions before it's too late for this world and the next...

Qatar - Bahrain - Kuwait has good deal of money which they can offer it to Pakistan for R&D on weapons. I think Bahrain will be buying JF-17s as US has refused to sell it's weapons.
