the "Stealth" j31 just looks like the f35, i doubt its anywhere near the 5th gen fighter. in fact it might be more comparable to 4th gen fighters. if it ever comes out that is

The new design has not flown officially, and the flying one is not going to be J-31 in future.

yes... yes... BUT F-35 too carries only 4 AIM 120s.. internaly.. even mighty raptor F-22 carries 6 AIM120s INTERNALLY

F-35 carries 4 X AIM-120s and 2 X AIM-9s and 2 X 1000 LBS PGMs internally. But its internal fuel capacity is more than J-31 as it stands right now.

This was a fake.They just put a fiberglass mock-up together. I think the designer was shot or something. Most of major Iranian military projects are mostly smoke and mirrors.

Thanks for correcting my misinformation on the capacity of the internal weapons bay of the F-35.
But F-35s internal fuel capacity is more than twice that of the F-16 and has an impressive mission radius on internal fuel.

Did Pakistan negotiated with China and signed a contract to acquire / buy 40 of the J-31 /Shenyang FC-31 stealth jets ?? OR will Pakistan sign to get them in 2017 or no chance??
Kindly reply,as it is my strong wish that PAF must have J-31 / Shenyang FC-31 stealth jets ,along with Sweedish Orion in big amount.

J-31 doesn't seem like fully stealth to me , plus its not reliable, has a smoky engine and isn't tested fully.


Smart choice would be to go for Su-35's if they're on offer .

What do you expect from Chinese rushed copy of F 35? US has made their own stealth jets for decades and its pouring shit ton of money in its newest one, which is made with European partners.
Chinese J 31 is not even challenger, its just another propaganda piece which can fly but thats it.
