Pakistan Looking at Three Option to buy Stealth Aircrafts Including F-35

Wrong. Just Plain wrong - The mighty US is being kicked on it's teeth by even fringe countries let alone a middle power like India. I can understand Pakistan bowing down to US dictates as it depends on the US generosity for both it's front line defense needs and finances for running the country (IMF/WB aid) but it is comical when you apply the same standards to India.

This after all a buyer's market.

Why dont you Pakistanis just accept india is a Superpower .. middle power ????:cray:...:sarcastic:

Isn't F35 is white elephant for PAF......?
F35 will first appear in Europe then ME then may be in South Asia. I don't think Americans will risk F35 to be dissected by Chinese......

We better focus on new blocks of F15 instead as they will be cheaper and more effective...... F35 is way expensive to buy and maintain....

It seems usa plays double game by making deals and tries to keep you away from Russia and delay the J31 purchase from China at least limit your budget. Also there can be reliability issues not only deliberate software glitches but there are already problems that they currently try to fix on the platform.Jf17 would be potent with improved ecm add ons as a main fighter in addition to J31. Other 5 gen options options seem to aim on relative countries own interests rather than your strategic needs.

Hi,

I just cannot stop laughing for the last half hour at this news-----. Vindicated so quick----I am surprised as hell----. Naysayers---eat dirt---.

Rising import of military equipment may disturb balance of power: president
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain said on Wednesday that an aggressive military doctrine in the region had led to increased import of high-tech military equipment, which might disturb the existing balance of power.

Therefore, he said, Pakistan needed to improve its economy and strengthen its defence capabilities as it would help the country address the internal and external challenges it’s facing.

The president was speaking at the inaugural session of a two-day seminar on Public-Private Partnership in Defence Production and Export organised by the Defence Export Promotion Organisation.

He said that Pakistan’s defence products were of international quality but the volume of exports was not at par with its potential because of lack of marketing and other problems.

Mr Hussain said that the private sector’s investment in defence production should be encouraged, adding that Turkey’s experiences in the area might be followed.

Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain noted that Pakistan had made significant progress in defence production. He said the purpose of the seminar was to formulate recommendations for exploring avenues for public-private partnership and devising effective policies.—APP

Our Staff Reporter adds: During a meeting with the first Arab woman Nobel peace laureate, Tawakkol Abdel-Salam Karman, President Hussain asked her to raise the issue of oppressed people in Palestine, Kashmir, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and elsewhere.

He said the Ummah should unite to achieve peace and prosperity in the Muslim world and work for the mitigation of the suffering of people.

Ms Karman, a Yemeni journalist, human rights activist and co-recipient of the 2011 Nobel peace prize, is the first Yemeni and the second Muslim woman to win the coveted prize.

President Hussain said that Ms Karman and the youngest Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai were the role models for the youth.

Ms Karman said she was honoured and overwhelmed by the warmth and affection shown to her by the government and people of Pakistan and that she considered Pakistan her second home.

CUBAN AMBASSADOR: Outgoing Cuban Ambassador Jesus Zenen Buergo Concepcion also called on President Hussain.

During the meeting, the president said that Pakistan wanted to strengthen relations with Cuba in different fields.

In a separate meeting with Ambassador-designate to Brazil, S.M. Burhanul Islam, the president said that ties between Pakistan and Brazil were marked by cordiality and there was a considerable potential to boost trade between the two countries.

He underscored the need for translating the existing goodwill in building solid trade and commercial ties.

Hi,

You are new in this world seems like----you dare not threaten the U S----the U S taketh and the U S giveth-----.

The only thing that india will be able to do is put its hand on its behind and say---okay----if that is what you wanted---we agree to it
---.
I am sorry but it seem that's not what India is doing when it comes to Climate Change Summit which happens to be Obama's dream project a legacy that he wants to leave behind...Sir when it comes to India we always put our National interest first no matter who we are dealing with....

Hi,

My man---you have not seen the number of IT's walking in CHAPPALS on the side walks of San Jose---Sunnyvale----in Seattle---in Phoenix----.

You piss the U S off---and some senator or congressman would decide to pack them and send them home----.
.

Yeah, I don't think so - senators and congressmen are as corrupt as they come and for the moment the interests are aligned.

India refused F-16IN and Super Hornets despite top US officials from Sec-Def, Sec-State etc running pillar to post lobbying in India - do you think it had any ramifications on US-India broader ties - No. US instead decided to sell even more of top shelf hardware.

The money speaks louder than rhetoric and Indian pull is only going to get stronger.

The chances USA will allow the sell of F35 are very low Im afraid cause of 2 or more reasons
The chinese connections to Pakistan.
Transferance of very advance tech to an arab state.

Chinese connections are there but i dont think chinese need to examine f35 anymore as the US claims that j31 has tech of f35 becoz chinese stole some secrets something....
transfer of technology to some state... ppl mindset have changed after aps peshawar incident in Pakistan ... u really need to come to Pakistan to check yourself how ppl think differently...

Hi,

After much thought and deliberation---I have come to the conclusion that PAF should change gears in mid stream and go for a 2 Sqdrn strength of the F 35 initially.

They should drop the idea for the SU35 or the J11D and go for the JH7B with the upgraded engine and aesa radar.

But the key over here is the F35----. With the procurement of this aircraft---it can bring some balance to the fire fight and have some strength at its disposal to maintain and manage an aggressive and a defensive power stance---.

This is an unconventional approach to the problem at hand---. Go for the 5th gen aircraft first and then go back to the 4--- 4.5 gen aircraft---.

It will also give it enough time to develop the JF 17 blk 3 as well.

There are a couple of things that have changed-----. @@Zarvan brought my attention to a thread started by Usama---I believe---regarding the F15 Silent eagle----with a new configuration of 16 BVR missiles on the wings and underbody with conformal fuel tanks designed by Boeing believe.

The F 15 would be guided by the F22 and the F 35 towards the target---the same can be done with the JF 17's. If it can be designed to carry 6 BVR missiles---then you have taken care of some of the problems facing the air defense of the country.

By going for the F 35---you are going to take the initiative away from the enemy. If it was me----I would rather have 2 sqdrn's of F35's than 4 sqdrn's of J11d's or SU35's.

You guys are being upset at why this change in game plan----why d I keep bringing different scenarios-----. I guess you people might come across some news in the near or distant future.
