Islamabad—Government of Pakistan has lifted sanctions on Iran pursuant to UN Security Council Resolution 2231. The modalities for lifting of sanctions were finalized in an inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Minister of Finance, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The formal notification issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following the meeting, will revive economic and commercial relationship between Pakistan and Iran, including the areas of trade, investment, technology, banking, finance and energy.
All previous notifications giving effect to UN Security Council sanctions on Iran stand repealed with the issuance of the new notification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in keeping with the Security Council resolution 2231.
Pakistan had welcomed the Joint Comprehensive Programme of Action (JCPOA) agreed between Iran and European Union, People’ Republic of China, United States, Germany France, United Kingdom and the Russian Federation. It appreciates the steps taken by Iran for the implementation of the JCPOA. With the lifting of restrictions, economic and trade relations between the two neighbourly countries will receive a new boost. It will enable the two countries to fully reinvigorate various bilateral and multilateral arrangements for promoting investments and cooperation in across all sectors including banking, finance, industry and energy.

The sanctions were placed globally not specific to Pakistan !!!

It's still up to individual nations to uphold international sanctions. Such sanctions can be ignored, but stronger powers end up making it difficult.

Basically, Pakistan had no choice but to place sanctions, because it would be under sanctions as well. While Pakistan has lifted sanctions against Iran, there is still a worry among the Pakistani leadership that Iran may end up under sanctions again, if a republican (Trump) wins. IP pipeline won't continue until after US elections, because Pakistan is waiting to see who wins; If Hillary wins, IP pipeline may actually become a reality by the end of next year.

. .
Why Pakistan play the role of Mudahi soost awar gawah choost with Iran?

Dealing with Iranians, is like dealing with people of 1980s after Shah era. Pakistan's has not been lucky that we got Mullah terror govt. in Iran. The only Mullah govt of Iran listens is the danda, from Pakistanis, trade with iron fist, tight hands and ensure, Iranian remain in line.

Otherwise you are expecting Mullah crazy clowns to let loose on Pakistan.

You made me sick !

Once the nuclear deal has been done then why does it matter who wins in USA...whether its Hilary or the scumbag...Pakistan should forge ahead with IP pipeline and if Iran want, Pak also should include Iran into CPEC and sign some trade agreements...why can't Pak take independent stance.

Because angering Pakistan's biggest trade partner is not worth signing a deal with Iran. Let me remind you that the trade favors Pakistan in the relationship between the US and Pakistan, one of the VERY FEW countries that does; the only reason why Pakistan is favored in the trade relationship between the two is ONLY because the US allows it to be.

Until Pakistan is economically strong enough (trillion dollar economy), it has little choice in the matter.

Besides, sanctions can take years to fully come off, and can be easily reinstated.

A Pakistani is jailed for buying Gyroscopes from USA secretly and supplying to Pakistan. Pakistan itself is under sanctions
and then there is a possible hostility from Saudis and their band of Arab brothers that are pounding Yemen at the moment.
