Pakistan LEA's armoured vehicles identification

Law Enforcement Agencies Armoured Vehicles
So since the previous thread by me lost my interest so decided to make a new thread covering all the armored vehicles used by Pak LEA's.

Includes only those vehicles in service and only pictures of the vehicles in Pakistan.

Mohafiz (Early 1st Gen)

Used extensively throughout pakistan , its being replaced by newer versions of mohafiz.



Inkas Hudson

Used only by KPK police a relatively modern and good looking vehicle , it was seen in action during the attack on Agricultural Directorate in Peshawar in 2017.



Pak armoring APC

A indigenously made APC it is in service with multiple units in Sindh , and has been used for transporting HVT to courts and in action in inner sindh.



Mohafiz (Early 2nd Gen)

Yet another version of HIT mohafiz's early variants it has been seen in use in sindh and Punjab.



ARMCO APC

Yet another modern APC , a dozen were ordered by KPK police and have been used in ops in the area.


LENCO Landcat

A US provided APC , it is in service with Punjab & Balochistan, has been used extensively to transfer HVTs.



STREIT Cougar

Only used by SSU in Sindh.



Old Landrover defender based APC (few in use , being replaced)

Used extensively throughout Pakistan along with early variants of mohafiz , only select vehicles in service , some vehicles have modified by replacing the entire body except chasis and changing it into newer mohafiz models by local companies.



SHORLAND armoured car (few in use , being replaced)

Used by Punjab police , it is now extremely old and probably not in service , it was also used during attack on Police Academy .



Mohafiz (Early 6x6)

A rare APC , not much is known except that it is based on HIT Mohafiz's Early version.



Interceptor (Mohafiz IV)

Built by cavalier group it is being used for base security by LEAs & Armed forces.

(in 2nd pic above , 2 x Mohafiz and 1 x Pak armoring APC)

(a new and old gen mohafiz together)
Current gen Mohafiz , being used extensively throughout pakistan , the current backbone of LEA's. Used in combat throughout pakistan , including balochistan.
Built by HIT , Pak armoring & Shanawar group.

Any other Vehicles i may have missed , do tell me,
Heavy armoured vehicles such as APC Talha , M113 , HIT Dragoon , BRDM-2 & BTR-70 will be covered later on.

Great Great Great thread and was much needed. And Pakistan police needs better Armored Vechiles. Some in this list are good but others not so much

Heavy Armored vehicles

HIT APC TALHA LEA - Add on armour

Currently the most well protected APC in the inventory it is being inducted fast , and large numbers are being procured in all provinces. Has already been used in ops in Sindh & Punjab extensively. Addon armour provides capability to stop upto 12.7mm API shells.


HIT Dragoon

Inducted in to Sindh Police , used in ops in Inner sindh areas as well.


HIT APC M113

Used Extensively throughout , HIT modified with side gun ports and view ports.


HIT APC Talha

Used extensively in Sindh areas for ops.

BTR 70

Only used in KPK


BRDM-2

Handful in use with KPK police , used in several ops.


In addition FC uses UR416 APCs.

There also are anywhere b/w 10~30 HIT Mohafiz LC APC's in use with Levies Balochistan , They were bought in 2017 from HIT & at the demand of a total 30 was asked by the levies , of which 10 were delivered in 2017 & the remaining 20 were to be bought in the next years budget , no info on if the remaining 20 were delivered or not.

I like this thread, just a few corrections.

LENCO Landcat is actually in service with Balochistan, Punjab and Islamabad Police. It was first inducted in Islamabad police, don't ask me how it ended up outside the MT Pool in Police Lines.

The earlier Mohafiz are sold as APCs but actually are LAV's. Having had the displeasure of being inside one in summer months, let me tell you it is an oven with no ventilation system.

I am glad that the XDS LPV didn't make this list.

Saw the Interceptor ( Mohafiz IV ) in black color with the Islamabad police on the road today , that makes them the third customer I guess , with first customer of Interceptor being the PN , the second customer being Bahrain , might be more customers but so far I've only seen these 2 with my own eyes ( with the exception of Bahrain one )

A un-identified vehicle seen in Karachi a few weeks ago , seems to be in Sindh Police colors however no markings are visible and because it rather seems to be a new type of vehicle , there's a big chance this might be a indigenously designed vehicle.
