Pakistan launches fourth nuclear-capable missile in a month

Pakistan has launched its fourth nuclear-capable missile after its rival India tested a new long-range missile capable of delivering atomic warheads last month.

The Pakistani military said that it successfully tested the Hatf VIII air cruise missile on Thursday.

It said that the 350-km range "low altitude, terrain hugging missile" can carry conventional warheads too.

On April 20, India successfully launched nuclear-capable Agni V missile which has a range of more than 5,000 km (3,100 miles) and is capable of hitting anywhere in regional military rival, China.

India and Pakistan have routinely carried out missile tests since both demonstrated their nuclear weapons capability with a round of tit-for-tat nuclear tests in 1998. The two neighbors have engaged in an arms race since the partition of Pakistan from India in 1947

Why would we need to match Agni V when short range missile are every bit capable of reaching India?

If we want to make ICBMs we can. Work on Shaheen 3 was half way done back in 2004 (stated by AQ-Khan) until Musharraf cancelled it... If our relations with the U.S gets to the point of making each other enemies, then you'll see what Pak Army does....
