It might be difficult for you to swallow, but Punjab (both India and Pakistan) has a shared culture... so unlike you who took years to even recignise Ranjit Singh as a Punjabi local hero, we Indians have been celebrating our shared culture (like sahiba Mirza) for decades....

Anyone Pakistani backing Khalistan is kidding themselves.

1. The Sikh claim dominion over all Punjab not just Indian Punjab.
2. The sikh population in India is actually quite small. There is no chance of an effective fighting force coming out of that community.
3. They're not stupid enough to be pawns in our fight with the Indians.
4. Even if they were the concept of an enemy of my enemy is my friend swings both ways.

Let's entertain Khalistan for a second. Pakistan backs a Sikh movement, they take up arms, they lobby foreign governments, after a long and bloody conflict they carve out Khalistan successfully. What next? They live a few years in peace, build up some strength, gain favour with world powers, make peace with India, tomorrow are backed by India to demand Pakistani punjab too.

Bangladesh was carved out of India. Today its in practical serfdom to it. Why would Khalistan be different?

It's OK for political gimmicks, but beyond that there is no Khalistan and never will be.

Sikh history isnfilled with Hindu and Muslim characters that we respect a lot... In fact the right hand man of Guru Nanak was a muslim.. so for us our rich culture is a strong driving force.

Sir, the thing that separates abrahmic religions such as what you follow (I am assuming that you are a practising muslim here) from dharmic religions, such as the one Sikhs follow is that dharmic religions do not put religion in front of the nations they live and die in. In fact they are no contradictions between the two aspects. As a result, Sikhs do not find it difficult to serve any nation where they live. They don't serve brahministan, they serve india in the same way as Canadian sikhs serve Canada and Italian Sikhs serve Italy.


sir, I am no expert, but I think your mixing culture with religion. He is Sikh, Sikhs originated in Punjab, which was a melting pot of multiple religions, which led to a similar cultural background. That is why you would find the names of Sufi and hindu saints in Sikhi artefacts.
