Yours one is blind hatred and one sided perception put together against Hindus when Pakistanis were spreading hatred against all to create a country for themselves in the west. Notably Dhaka Nawab family was also from Kashmir. Hindus were dominating in all economic and education sectors in Dhaka. If Dhaka university was established they had no problems to make inroads in there too. Many first professors and top graduates of DU too were Hindus. On the other hand Muslims needed more secondary schools and colleges. They could still study in Kolkata university. They were really small numbers and not interested in higher education. Hindus opposed Dhaka university due to budget cut by central gov for Kolkata university. Similarly during colonial period Hindus and Muslims donated in construction of Dhaka structures, nothing by the the British gov. Hindus such as Prince of Bhawal, Raja rai bahadur, Kali narayan rai, mohini mohan das etc
Also after establishment of DU Tagore visited it within 5 years and were welcomed by all. Your allegations are mixed with propaganda where he criticized Hindus too in several occasions.
Tagore left Swadeshi movement in 1907. Your words are selective also but denied the facts what he did for religious harmony and unity. Tagore opened Arabic, Urdu, Parsian and Islamic study center in vishva bharati. His writing appeasing a Muslim brave man Habir khan in Kamala, in majhi novel he showed empathy toward a Muslim boatman, he showed high regard of a Muslim in Kabuliwala, he had high regard for prophet Muhammad, he established high school, bank, industry in patisar naogaon too where people were Muslims, the list goes on.
In a lecture at Oxford in 1930, Tagore acknowledged that he didnot come from a typical Hindu family and that his sensibility was created by ―a confluence of three cultures, Hindu, Mohammedan and British
Message of unity is also voiced in Tagore‘s poem Bharat Tirtha or The Indian Pilgrimage
Here Aryans, non-Aryans, Dravidians, Chinese Sakas, Hunas, Pathans, Moguls in one body, lo, were united. The doors today have opened in the West, bearing gifts, behold, they arrive
–
All shall give and take, mingle and be mingled in, none shall departdejectedFrom the shore of the sea of Bharata's Great Humanity!Come, O Aryans, come, non-Aryans, Hindus and Mussulmans
–
Come today, O Englishmen, come, oh come, Christians!Come, O Brahmin, cleansing your mindJoin hands with all
–
Come, O Downtrodden, let the burdenOf every insult be forever dispelled.Make haste and come to Mother's coronation, the vessel auspiciousIs yet to be filledWith the sacred water sanctified by the touch of allBy the shore of the sea of Bharata's Great Humanity!
Tagore‘s biographer s Dutta and Robinson suggest that ―Tagore had little intellectual contact with Islam and educated Muslims. So he had not much writings on Muslims characters. He had high regard for Kazi Nazrul, Muslim poets Hafiz, Kabir, Sayed.
