What's new

Pakistan is Russia’s ‘most important’ partner in South Asia: Putin

Once WOT in Afghanistan ends, pakistan is of no use for the world. It is used just supply in afghanistan.

I think Pakistanis are trying to show that Russia wants to be more of Pakistan friend then India.

Which is a joke.

No its actually the other way around; you guys are bragging about trade figs, time tested alliance and a lot more and even brought China into this. All we want is a good bilateral relations that are no longer Indo-centric from Russian pov as it has been for last five decades. We want trade, development and off course Russian military toys.

.
Time to buy weapons without restrictions and get some power plants. :yahoo:

.
Russia gives $500 Million to Pakistan, gets all the Chechen terrorist factory shut down. Russia wins! NO azaadi for Chechenya then i guess:lol:

Nothing is for free, Russian will 'invest' $500 million in energy sector and that is only the beginning. Once the ties are improved, Russia will open its defense market as well. So its a win-win situation for both of us.
But some will lose...

Thats good.

Even this week we had a nuke powerplant talking was going and the first batch of Mi-17V-5 helicopters have been just delivered.

Its a relationship better than US.

Bringing Russia into neighbourhood is also beneficial to us.

They sure has some old scores to settle.

Russia doesnt have a say in BRICS. It has no right to keep Indian in or out if BRICS. BRICS is collective term coined by Goldman Sachs for high growh rate countries

It does have a say in SCO. And it can not afford to keep India out, if they want to form a alliance against US.

Lol, BRIC is short for Brazil, Russia, India and China; four countries that will have significant growth in next few decades and challenge existing economic powerhouses. It's not a collective pool of any high growth country. No one can 'stay' or be 'removed' from BRIC, its an imaginary term.

.
lol.. just accept it. The partnership is good for Pakistan, not good for India.

India would prefer to see Pakistan isolated so it's not good for India.

If Inida was in Pakistan's position and Russia announced the same, it would be good for India.

Why the denial?

.
What happened to all the Indians saying "There are no friends just interests."

Yeah you can get stuff like RD93. Mi17 etc while we get FGFA..

Dude please.Even if the Russians dont want they have to trade with India.:agree:

Pakistan locations is not that good as Russia has better access to central asia.

But I'm guessing Putin wants to use Pakistan like USA maybe?

It's not about Russian access to CAR which is landlocked. To connect it with sea routes, Afghanistan and Pakistan must cooperate.
The idea is to develop the region and make it a transit hub between Russia, China and South Asia. So no one is being used or exploited. There is a lot to gain for every player, specially for coutries like Pakistan.

All weapons purchased by India from Russia contain a secret "kill switch" to prevent it from being used against Russia.

This news means Russia would let Pakistan use the kill switch in a war. As soon as Pakistan military transmits the secret code, all the Indian weapons will switch themselves off automatically. India's expense FGFA will fall from the air.
Obviously, even Russia thinks India is a threat to world peace. :pakistan:

You're either trolling or delusional. Thanks to Poe's law, I can't tell which.

Lol. The partnership is NOT good for Pakistan. Look at what Syria or Iran get. Get the drift? It may be good for Russia, considering that their Chechen problem has some sources in Pakistan. Other than that, what does Pakistan have to offer to Russia. Every relation is on a need basis. Pakistan needs WHATEVER it can get, such be the woes of your land. And you've got the nerve to call India a "useful idiot". Try achieving even half of what India has achieved and then comment.

And if you dont know what strategic value means, your posts mean nothing. Btw, whoever gave you those TT tags? Lol.

Why dont you go and enlighten ( or try to convince ) the Americans , the Chinese , every ME country and now Russians who seem to think otherwise ?
Trust me they will shower you with praises for such valuable information which didn't cross the minds of even their strategic think tanks or policy makers :P and what exactly do Russians need to supply to Afghanistan ?
