Pakistan is on the edge. Should India be worried?

. .
Pakistan should remain in this type of situation for a long time if you see Indias interests. This is unless Pak changes to become a secular nation.
How is it in India's interest to see an out-of-control Pakistan?

secular like India?
Yes, secular like India.

Try to keep track of the fact that this is a nation, India, that is going through a pathological crisis, and that it was successful in maintaining secular standards until 2014.

Do the arithmetic - from 1947 to 2014, from 2014 to 2023.

India is extremely secular. Not at that level but they need to start taking steps. Like BD. Firstly separate the constitution from Islam. Then a number of issues will start resolving.
Again, that is difficult to understand. The constitution does not even mention Islam. What separation do you want?

.
That was a clan war, family dispute.. doubt it had a racial component.
Far less a religious component.....

There was no racial component. There may have been caste considerations. Revisionists like to retrofit modern concepts on to ancient ones. One look at the list of allies of Kauravas and Pandavas makes it clear that alliances were criss crossed across the sub continent

Will someone remind the resident idiot that the Mahabharata is an epic, and not an history?

If india was an island we would never have the same culture as we have now...

If himalaya was there between India and Pakistan.. then there would have been no invasions from NW.
That means that the whole of India would have spoken a Dravidian language, with an Austric sub-layer.

yes we have seen your courts in action , but when you live in a gutter long enough then smell goes away.
You are really testing the limits of tolerance.

You don’t have a point to make. That’s rhetoric. India so far has broadly stuck to its constitution. And that’s why it’s still thriving. If Pak wants to be an Islamic country it should follow its religious book. Obviously they used it as how you mentioned About the Indian constitution.

I meant that Pakistan Constitution should be separated from Islam. It’s not good to have an out of control Pak but a Pak which is off balance that the resources are spent on keeping the house in order.

Oh, the Pakistani constitution!

Sorry, was puzzled at the Indian constitution needing to be separated from religion. As American kids put it, 'my bad'.

Not just Mahabharata , also the Ramayana and the pantheon of Indian gods. We are erring in making it real. The epics try to explore the nature of human beings , society , law, ethics and a lot more. We are shitting all over it by trying to pretend that it’s history. It’s as real as the Iliad or Odyssey.
The mistake the Indians are making it is trying to force Indian-“ philosophy and thought into a faith based movement. And this is not a recent development, probably a few hundred years old. We can’t fit a square peg into a round hole.

This comment is so complete that adding to it would minimise it.

Great stuff.

Pakistan is an Islamic state, but we still waiting for islamic laws to be implemented. Once that happens it will be fine.

All these libturds who want it to be secular are free to leave and go elsewhere, there’s plenty of countries around the world.

You are still in provisional stage of membership. Once you have made enough posts (I think 50), the daily limit will expire.

Happened to me too. Choose your posts wisely in interim ;)

Very difficult because Pakistan is confused about its values. The majority of the people do not want the rigour of religious laws applied to themselves but want to see the offenders be punished in accordance.
