Pakistan interested in KORKUT Self-Propelled Air Defense System

.
I have no info on this particular system, but similar systems are not deployed against aircrafts or helicopters. These are effective against enemy rockets, artillery and mortar fire.

you can search for some English version of Mantis

Korkut maximum firing range is 4 km that's mean it is only effective against helicopters while Pakistan already have a short range sam
What's the significance of acquiring these? Pakistan already has air defence systems in place for the low range role.

Korkut :

soon combined with

LONG LIVE PAKISTAN and TÜRKIYE !

They have MANTIS and IRON DOME , we have our own sytems:pakistan:

Pakistan has nukes , we have huge thermobar and ....soon hypersonic missiles !

Our weapons are unlimited for Pakistan and vice versa.

Actually you've almost as many nukes assigned for your use, in İncirlik.
Anyway, I personally like the Korkut. Though I said it's useless for the most part.
Very effective for certain things. Good going.

Hindustan has more than 100 million muslims. We should keep peace and not be toys of some emperialist nations

You'd generally want redundancy, but anti-air guns (AAG) are useful for very short-range and low-altitude engagement; they can act as quasi-CIWS, help against targets with self-protective suites (that might jam radars and/or scuttle infrared), etc. Modern AAG such as the Korkut can be tied to one's radar, which can automatically direct the AAG to those targets. Pair these AAG with the command-line-of-sight HQ-7s and/or short-to-medium-range terminal-homing SAM - e.g. Hisar or Umkhonto - and you have a solid low-altitude air defence layer.

Is it better then the Thales Rapid fire which can be mounted with VSR SAM and Pakistan was considering it?

KORKUT Self Propelled Air Defense Gun System

ASELSAN’s Self Propelled Air Defense Gun System is newly designed and developed for effective ground based air defense against modern air threats. The system consists of a team of three 35 mm Gun Systems and one Command Control System that can operate full autonomously.

As an effective, reliable and maintainable Air Defense Solution from ASELSAN, the system successfully realizes all the functions of detection, tracking, recognition, identification and destruction of the target.
General Specifications of 35 mm Gun System
  • Common mission execution with armored mechanized troops,
  • Firing on the move with stabilized gun turret,
  • Automatic ammunition feed and selection,
  • Post command coordinated operation,
  • Automatic target tracking with Fire Control Radar,
  • Target acquisition & tracking with electro optic sensors,
  • Effective air defense with advanced fire control algorithms.
General Specifications of Command Control System
  • Common mission execution with armored mechanized troops,
  • Target Acquisition & Tracking with 3D Search Radar,
  • Local Area Air Picture Generation,
  • Air picture sharing with post command,
  • Taking engagement orders from post command,
  • Advanced thread evolution and weapon assignment algorithms,
  • Post command control of air defense weapon systems,
  • Identification of Friend or Foe with IFF System.

Nifty, but quite an equivalent of a SPAAG. The CV90 can be turned against aerial targets too, but it's not really optimized for that role lacking long-range sensors without packing Giraffe, which is not standard kit.

Without being networked into a larger air-defence network, like a NASAMS battery, or without their own long-range sensors like Giraffe or IIR/EO types like below the CV90 and comparable platforms like Stryker lack the target identification and tracking capabilities needed to perform air-defence roles comparable to what a Korkut would as part of its network.

That's not to suggest that the 30mm and 40mm autocannons the BAE turret or CV90 pack would rip a helicopter or UAV to pieces of course. They'd do so just marvelously.

The Norinco vehicle would be a nice addition to the Pakistan Army though. Serving as a capable Stryker or CV90 equivalent. It needs an ATGM or two strapped to the turret, IMHO.
The telescopic ammo for the 40mm cannon is the reason why I posted it as it is a great concept that can be used for variety of roles and not limited to just AA.

I think it may be used against not so sophisticated drones or Katyusha rockets mostly against militants it has a small range of 4 kms where helicopters can fire missiles from 10 kms

We shouldn't waste our money on this system. We already have several types of LADs and AAG orkelin is doing fine we've already got the new auto version with Radars.
I agree with you we should get maximum out of little pakistan should invest in PANTSIR missile defense rather than korkut

A reasonable purchase for Multi tier , Air defence.
Some modernization on the lower level modest improvement

Seeing it simillar to CWIS like point defence

We had updated the SAM mid / high altitude , and makes sense to also bring some modest improvements on point defence

I am more interested in the Hisar-0/ Hisar-A integration into our Frigates / Stealth ships to gether with a nice point defence gun
