Pak had never control over TTP or IEA. It is better for us as the world can see that nobody was and is in Pak control.

So, the world should come together to influence IEA, Pak cannot do it alone. Yes, we can't tell Taliban what to do as no foreign power could do so as IK has said many times.

Pakistan should announce that Pakistan resognises Taliban as the official government of Afghanistan.

There is no need to appease the Tajiks and Uzbeks.

Did Allied forces appease Japan and Germany after WW II ?

This whole inclusive government thing is a nonsense.

US tried to alienate mainly Taliban from the power sharing and Northern alliance was more then happy to step in and now one can see the results of the Northern alliance. Pakistan is not like the USA and we have got limitations financially, economically, militarily to mention the few. Snakes are crawling all over the Afghanistan looking for the opportunities to come out of their hibernation dens and centuries. We need to do what ever it takes to keep our Northern border safe and secure and it will only happen if their is a peace in the Afghanistan. Their is already first attack on the Taliban in the Kandahar and who have to know where this leads to. Excluding any community never goes well with any one so instead of thinking emotionally we need to think rationally. Pashtuns are almost 50% of the population and can't be everywhere and its a mountainous and a big enough country so even Taliban try, its only take few men to block the roads. So it will be in our best interests Taliban can take with them on the long journey of governing the country as many as possible and it increases their chances of successful rule.

Yeh fazool mein Afghanistan ke issues mein had se ziada involve ho rahe hain ... It is not our job to tell Afghans how to rule themselves. Our job is to get the refugees back to Afg , address terrorist groups originating and getting support from Afghan lands and border management.

Talibans should be told a clear pathway in order to get recognize from neighbors , have a shared power deal with some of the non Taliban politicians and get recognized one by one.

A Pakistani PM can barely finish a tenure  Another Afghan civil war within 5 years?

As far as Pakistan is concerned, that gives them 5 years to build up the border and the refugees can go back.

I hope the demand has been made to recognize the durand line as a hard border?

This is potentially the big news if implemented. Peace in Afghanistan is of critical importance for Pakistan. And peace can't be established there unless there is enough 'inclusiveness' in the governance.

No border fence with Afghanistan could bring true peace in Pakistan, especially when there is so much shared families and trade between the two countries. Look at Israel-Gaza as example: Gaza is tiny, has a tiny border with Israel, and Israel is very high tech, and Gaza is surrounded as an open air prison, and yet the Gazans are still able to inflict significant damages inside Israel. In comparison, Pakistan-Afghan border is super easy to cross for those who would really want to.

Let us hope, for once, SCO was more than just another 'Chai-Biscoot' meeting event and something concrete was achieved by the recent SCO visit. I am cautiously hopeful.
