Pakistan India Border Skirmish 1958 East Pakistan

So that's what it was all about, you started a ruckus because you have a problem with Islam, "Arab wannabe culture". Do you have a problem with Arab culture, or do you start itch because your real issue is with Pakistanis and Bangladeshis being Muslim. You can't respect the fusion of two cultures?

And listen, I am aware that there are Indian Muslims and that being one of the largest populations along with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
I got no special problems with islam or arabs but I do have with wannabes. But how convenient for you to make a BS statement as if "bangladeshi culture" something when it is not and asked for details start ranting about something I did not say? Islam is a religion, not a culture. It spans across cultures. If you do not know difference between culture and religion, just keep quite instead of making up some BS and then not able to come up with any coherent replies...

You asked me what elements are there in Bengali culture that is not in Indian? You believe that there are no differences but what you missed out was no where did I mention "Bengali" culture so that is why I did not answer the stupid question that you posed.

Of course Bangladeshi culture will have many elements which differ to "Indian", a broad term as India encompasses many ethnic groups hence different cultures.

So next time sneaker boy don't start a conversation with me if you're going to ask stupid questions.

no special problems with islam or arabs

What the f is that supposed to mean

It is your assertion that there is something called "bangladeshi" culture which is stupid. You keep on saying there is some difference between "indian" and "bangladeshi" culture, but couldn't name one. Because there isn't any and you pulled it from your behind...
What the f is that supposed to mean
You in uk and can't comprehend english? keno?

@ My foot ! I have visited that area sitting on the opposite means viewing from area(Hill top) not remember may be "Bhobanipur ". It is the tip of present Khagrachori District northern side where I went to visit back in 1997. Where one of the BDR member was describing the "Asalong Operation" although he was not there. But the way he was narrating the story, I was feeling as if I fought the war. He could not narrate the name of the officer and the year but he said we the BDR means the EPR fought the war and evicted the Indians from the soils of East Bengal.

@ Now, as per the statement of @chaanmia the war was not that intense but it stills remind the members of EPR/BDR?Border Guards of Bangladesh. This lone incident demoralize the Indians so much that during the rest of the Pakistan days they never never dared to attacked the then East Pakistan and finally they conspired to dismember Pakistan and succeeded..

@ So, I was mistaken, "Asalong Operation" is a separate one which took place in 1962. The reference is given below:

The key difference is religion which can in part determine culture in a society.

We are a largely homogeneous society.

So no bengali muslims in india?

I didn't say that there are no Muslims in West Bengal. Like I said, they have their own habits and values which makes them distinct demographic from their Hindu counterparts.

But the discussion here is a special "bangladeshi" culture which is entirely unique to bangladesh, as asserted by one member... he is claiming it is different than anything found in india

Ask him how long he has spent time in Bangladesh.

@ My dear Indian Calcutta Babu, there are gulf of difference between West Bengal Bengali culture and Bangladeshi Bengali culture. Some of the points are given below:

1. I fully agree with @Loki that it is due to the religious differences.
2. Firstly, most of the Muslim Bengali women don not give, "Tip" on their forehead. Most of them, consider that it is Hindu culture.
3. We call "Pani" to water where as Indian Bengali call it "Jal".
4. We call beef as "Goru's gosht " not "Mangsho" as it refers, "Mayer ongsho" means "Debota".
5. The Hindus prefer, "pital, tama and kasha" in crokeries items but it hardly matters to us.
6. Most of the hindu family prefers to teach their children in dancing and singing songs but we prefer to send them "maktam & madrasas" for religious teaching during the early age.
7. We wear "Lungi" they prefer to wear "Dhoti".
8. We eat beef but they worship it. Slaughtering of cow was forbidden in many of the Hindu Zamindary areas during British period.
9. Once some body is new borned we give "Ajan", they do some thing else may be "olu bajai".
10. In food, we prefer various types of fish, beef and mutton but they prefer "Niramish".
11. Hindus prefer for lighting of "mongol prodip and mongol jatra" but it does not exist in our case and it is not our culture.
12. Hindus are very much fond of "Mela" and it is said that "baro mase 13 puja". We also prefer for "mela" but not like Hindus.May be to attract opposite sex !!!
13. In our Bengali languages we use many Arabic, Persi and Urdu words and we are proud of that but in West Bengal it is missing.

14. And so on ------

It's not about comprehension as I quoted why you have no "special problem"? This is obviously denotes that you don't really have a MAJOR problem, but have some kind. So you might as well drop the clever act. "Keno Beno". Secondly the cultural differences is something you will never be able to make out because you willingly block anything that is different from your culture.

Food habits, linguistic differences all come into play. You stated INDIAN culture so the differences wil be VAST. We are meat eaters, many of you are not. Bangladeshi dialects and particularly the Sylheti and CTG dialects have a lot of loanwords in everyday speaking...

So basically nothing different... so much for "bangldeshi" culture...

Whatever happened in that era should be posted on pakistani section
it seems the story of United Pakistanis scoring a little victory against Indian forces is offending you and @bongbang

however i do acknowledge Indian forces scored a decisive victory against United Pakistan, especially against East Pakistan in the greater scheme. India's decisive victory and colonization, and takeover by Hindu supremacism of East Pakistan is embodied by the existence of people celebrating certain days every March and December; it was embodied as I sang a Tagore song every morning in my school days.

the victory was scored in a war rigged right from 1947 because of East Pakistan's handicapped state. what would happen of East Pakistan and East Pakistanis should have been a forgone conclusion right from 1947. but in almost usual fashion, Muslims' defensive mindset and obliviousness got the better of themselves in sensing the aggressive intentions of a rogue Indian state.
Ramgarh Local Batallion = Frontier Guards = Special Reserve Company = Bengal Military Police = Eastern Frontier Rifles = East Pakistan Rifles = Bangladesh Rifles = Border Guard Bangladesh

That is 220 years of history of this force. And one of the main force to kick Pakistan out.
...and replace with an Indian colony called "Bangladesh"

I dont give a F what you Pakis living in BD think about us. Okay?
Some of you razakars and razakar descendants wish sinister for BD and dont believe in BD identity. Nothing to do with you guys. You are non existent for us. And you are doing more bad than good to the parties you put faith in. Aka BNP JI. Most of the guys of this forum whom are your similar mindset show their allegiance there. So its no brainier to choose patriotic people to see his last option even its evil. And I know in real life BNP people who will strip you naked and beat to death for your mind. Some of you were born in PK and were shocked to see sudden change in your nationality. And couldnt decide whom to support in war time. That is ok. But whom you fcked and kicked Bengalis must die. And rest of you just shut off and retain your unconditional support for BD. Or get the Fck off from BD. Its part our family made BD. And we are grown from childhood with large amount of ammunition. So if needed my generation will use that again if necessity arisen.
