Pakistan in talks for 4 Ada Class Corvettes, T-129 Helicopters & modernization of agosta fleet

Don't know about the air defense, but the defense against Bed-Nazar and Bela/Musibet remains embedded as every part of these ships will be built/assembled with a Bismillah...

Inshallah, it shall my brother but air defense is very important on a ship and PN lacks that in their ships that's why I asked if they are buying new ships they should have learned their lesson on air defense on board.

Fresh news !

-5 Milgem corvette for Saudi Arabia will be signed in IDEF-17.
-Pakistan Navy gave green light for 4 Milgem class which is going to be modified in acc with Pakistan Navy requirements. PN is busy with selecting the best configuration + system/missile integration issues but The deal is certain. 400 million $ credit is given to Pakistan for 4 Pakistani configuration Milgem.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa)

Thank you for the Brilliant news brother :D Love from Pakistan
I sincerely hope the version PN choose's must have VLS

.
The Ada, LF-2400 and I-Class all emanate from the MILGEM platform. So them saying "MILGEM corvette" or "MILGEM warship" doesn't mean anything until we actually see the PN's decided design. I, @Tank131 and others hope it's the LF-2400 with the 16 VLS cells; it is based on the same design as the Ada, except a longer hull, CODAD and a 16-cell VLS behind the stack.

. . . .
This is the VLS capable version.

how many of these ships will be produced in turkey and pakistan?

And which port in pakistan will be making these?

. .
If it follows the Fleet Tanker program, the four ships will be assembled in Pakistan with a mix of Western, Turkish and locally sourced parts and systems.
What will be really interesting to know is what variant we go for once the deal does happens. Will it be Ada-class corvettes with only point defense anti-air weapons (we have those already) or will be finally opt for the TF-100 class frigates (with VLS for ESSM or may be some Chinese or Turkish air defense missile). OR, go for a hybrid? An extended Ada Class which is not exactly a TF-100.

I will personally welcome any vessel with decent air protection but frankly still fail to see what exactly will they offer over plenty of other options, For example Type 54 (which will give us some weapon commonality as well). Are we going for this just for the sake of diversification. MILGEM project for PN makes sense to me ONLY if we follow up the corvettes (same as present or the modified ones) with frigates (even TF-2000 to fill in that med-heavy category). Otherwise, there are plenty of other better options available.

There are three ships in the MILGEM family:
  • Ada corvette - the 2,300-ton ship with 2x4 AShM, 2x3 ASW, 1 main gun and RAM for point-defence
  • I-Class frigate - 3,000-ton ship with 2x8 AShM, 2x3 ASW, 1 main gun, RAM and 16-cell VLS
  • LF-2400 light frigate - 2,350-ton ship with 2x4 AShM, 2x3 ASW, 1 main gun, RAM and 16-cell VLS
So the LF-2400 is basically the hybrid, and it would be ideal - i.e. efficiency of a corvette and firepower of a frigate (at least more than our F-22Ps).

I think the thread title needs to be changed with likely part to be removed. If our version is the LF2400 what weapons will be deployed for the 16 cell vls? Also pardon my ignorance but can the same vls be used for different systems like SAM and Babur?
