Pakistan in talks for 4 Ada Class Corvettes, T-129 Helicopters & modernization of agosta fleet

. .
What in your opinion fits better in terms of western AShM for these ships other then Harpoons, do you think French will sale weapons to Pakistan as they are ver close to India these days? Also Turkish missile is not mature now, I think Italian and possibly Swedish weapon will be better to have, earlier have proved to be reliable supplier latter offer good product.

MM40 blk4 and RBS-15 Mk3 are both very good while Otomat may be getting long in the tooth and is rather lumpy. Personally, I'm a big fan of Kongsberg NSM, which is mature, stealthy design, non-emitting.

Will it be good for Pakistan to JV with SA to develop RIM-162/FL-3000N eqvivalant based on A-Darter (which have LOAL & LOBL modes with offbore capability ) or any similar / better missile?
Shouldn't be too hard. See what Taiwan did to develop Sea Oryx. The Sea Oryx missile is derived from the locally developed Infra-Red short range air-to-air missile "TC-1" Tien Chien-1 (meaning Sky Sword) . TC-1 is operational with Taiwan's air force IDF jet and Taiwan's army Antelope surface-to-air defense missile system. The TC-1 missile is fitted with a HE-blast fragmentation warhead with contact or active laser proximity fuze. The missile has a maximum effective range of 9,000 m and maximum altitude range of 3,000 m.

Do you think NSM have better chances to skip through enemy defences then other mentioned AShMs?

Let's put it this way: it is not for nothing the ONLY foreign antiship missile currently being considered for the US (which in the past used Kongsberg Penguin on F16 and SH60)....

Navy projects between us !

-STM Fleet tanker
-STM Agosta-70B submarine extensive upgrade
-STM Mini-Submarine project
-4 STM Milgem Pakistani variant ( I predict %60 Ada class corvette without VLS, %40 Modified Ada class with VLS)

It seems the working principles and quality of Turkish naval products satisfied Pakistani naval officials so Orders are following. In following years, The likely cooperation areas between Pakistan and Turkey will be as following.

-STM 1700 submarine (Replacement of Agosta-70/90B sub)
-STM TF-2000 + CAFRAD ( I strongly believe that Milgem deal will open gate for more capable and complicated naval products like TF-2000)

So, that means 2.4 Ada and 1.6 Modified Ada?
Or do you mean 60/40 odds it being Ada (instead of Mod-Ada). 60% chance of Ada?

Wouldn't Agosta-70 need replacing first?

Norway doesn't sell weapons to Pakistan, so from a Pakistani perspective, as this thread is, it doesn't matter much unless sold to an adversarial nation like India, which also isn't too likely. In fact, Norway maintains an arms embargo on Pakistan so the chances of NSM being provided are very low.

It is however a very credible missile using strictly passive forms of tracking and engagement, meaning it's less susceptible to countermeasures like jamming, chaff or decoys and can quickly switch between several modes of terminal guidance if necessary and it has a stealthy body shaping made with composites giving it a low radar and IR cross section. It's survivable, and in all likelihood more so then the larger RBS-15, Otomat and unstealthy, but smaller Harpoon.

Bin means 1000.
So 1700 tonnes.
You know that most journalists are in jail so,this is what you get.:sarcastic::sarcastic::sarcastic:
The post above by @ziya explains the new design.
Give me another 12 months of this and I'll learn how to read Turkish Lol

That will depend on whether the Agosta 70s are replaced by Hangors.

What are your thoughts on the ATMACA missile?

it maintains embargo due to india, sooner or later if it cant sell anything to india and if Pakistan economy grows the same player will sell it us too. history does support this.

though its unlikely that we will buy it even if offered given variety of other more trusted and tried options
