Why is Saeed Ajmal playing when we already have two spinners in Afridi and Malik??

Asif should have been played instead of Saeed Ajmal!

Hammad Azam to join Pakistan T20 squad in Australia
AUCKLAND: Hammad Azam, who emerged as the match winning hero of Pakistan in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup semifinal against the West Indies on Monday, has been included in the national team for playing Twenty20 International against Australia.

Pakistan Under-19 team coach Ijaz Ahmed told while talking with Geo News that Hammad batted brilliantly throughout the tournament and remained unbeaten in every innings of the event.

His magnificent batting form has placed him in the Pakistan Twenty20 squad.

Born on March 16, 1991 in Attock, Hammad was only one-year-old when Pakistan under the captaincy of Imran Khan had won the Cricket World Cup in 1992. Then, nobody knew that one day he would represent Pakistan in international cricket.

Hammad Azam has so far played all the five matches in the Under-19 World Cup and scored 173 runs. He remained not out throughout as no bowler could get him out in any match.

Smashing an unbeaten 21 off 13 balls against India in the quarter-final, Hammad hammered 92 not out from 93 balls against the West Indies in the semi-final and was adjudged the man-of-the-match.

Let us compare to worlds best teams.

Australia : -

1. Very good domestic league system.
2. New players have been given 10 - 20 matches before dropping them
3. On captain for LONG time as we have changed 50 ?

South Africa :-

Same as Australia they have one captain for long long time when did South africa won any big event ? But still they have same captain.

India and Sri Lanka : -

I mean India and Sri Lanka have learned changing captain after 1 month will not change any thing. India lost in T20 , Champions Trophy could not even go further than group stage still they have never said once they will change DONI.

Pakistan :-

We dont have proper leauge system to find players as Australia, england, SA etc. When a village boy come to play in Oval or Melbhorne its hard for him and not every one is use to it.

And biggest fact is we change our captain and coach as often as i change my underwear. Younis won T20 wc for us with a team which was NOTING before WC. In Champion trophy we should not have made through semi finale but we played semi and lost to NZ. SA and Indians lost in group stages who were favorites teams to win.

I think Younis was getting better day by day but we changed him or he changed him self as we know why and Yousef / Kami / Malik now having hard time in Australia.

I would love to have Younis as captain until 2011 world cup but he always run away. Afridi should be captain now until he give up cricket. Give him room and watch ur team doing well.

i think main problem is chopping and changing of player after every disasterious match ....................in my pov yunis khan had the best tempermnt to captain pakistan but bcoz of sngle failure in champions trophy he was hounded out n ppl shud remember n accept there r better teams than pakistan ..........................

The problem for Pakistan is now is captaincy. Cricket is a sport where the role of captain is important than the other players combined. Why India sticking with Dhoni bcoz he is a natural leader. What I can see in Pakistan captains is that all are makeshift leaders such as Shoaib Malik and Mohd yousuf.

1) Oppening pair lacks since Saeed and Aamr left.
2) Middle order lacks consistency.
3) Poor WK....usually drop catches withthe ratio of 2 to 3 games, unfortunately we had 2 best world class keepers at same time Moin and Rashid.
4) We hav good pacer, infact few of best among world class but Pak lacking pacer combination as we had Waseem, Waqar...Waseem, Waqar, Aaqib... Waseem, Shoaib ...... Waqar, Shoaib........Shoaib, Asif.....(Poor Shoaib spoiled himself)
5) Saeed Ajmal is good.....but not effective as Saqlain Mushtaq.
6) No Captain is using Danish Kenaria skills.
7) We dont hav wise, clever, tactical, aggressive and attacking captain as we used to have Waseem, Moin, Aamir and Imran Khan. Captains (Yousaf, Younis, Malik etc) dont know how to use player skills
8) Fielding is ever prob.
9) No place for Malik....but he is in for long time......dont hav all rounder like we used to have Razzaq, Azhar Mahmood , Malik when they were to fit to perform.
10) Team combination and spirit to win lacks. Team have no pation to fight till last ball.

Governing body is week.....people in PCB dont know much abt Cricket.....selection is not on merit......Fitness problem......Grouping problem.....politics in team and PCB.......May be department was envolved in corruption when General Mushi took over the PCB from Minister of sports...and still the department is under president ...and now we know Mr 10% is here to fill his pockets. He is not caring abt the Cricket dept.

agreed with you but changing captain will not going to do better we need to change upper managemant of PCB and bring players like saeeed anwar and other in board CM we need fresh management not old who dont know the latest cricket and stop playing failed cricketers like akmal,misbah,malik etc

I agree 100%. Bring Younus back as a captain. Afridi and Malik are not test players so why should they be in team?
