Pakistan in Australia 2009-2010

. .
Well played Pakistan. I hope you win it easily tomorrow.

.
If we don't win from this point then PCB should publish 'how to lose guide for idiots' or change its moto to 'kuch is shaher dey log zalim aan tey kuch sanu maran da shoq hai

. .
don't forget guyz couple of months ago SL had set a target of 167 runs i think or about 200 i am not sure now but we were bowled out below 170 for sure.......... this is Pakistan they can score 700 or can be bowled out at 132

I hope and pray that we win this match and the series...... i am giving more priority to this test series than the ODIs

I think it is time we bring Afridi in the Test side permanently...he is a very shrewd cricketer, we should have retained him in the test side on long term, his overall skills would really make him a huge boost...better late than never i say.

He has become a very smart cricketer, no doubt. I would support the idea of him being re-included in the Test side, but on probation, not permanently. I have been saying for a while that Pakistan is in dire need of a reliable all-rounder right now, and the Captain said the same thing before the start of this Test.

Shahid Afridi has shown that he is a uniquely handy and crafty bowler, and we know that he has the ability to put the opposition under immense pressure with the bat. However, I do not support a permanent place for him yet because he is very unreliable with the bat, and Pakistan needs a primarily batting all-rounder. The only true batting all-rounder we have is Shoaib Malik, but his performance has not been up to par recently. Hence, the opening is there for bowling all-rounders like Afridi and Abdur Razzaq, we just have to see which one deserves it more.

I agre that Afridi has become mature but I beg to differ on bringing him into the test team. Quite frankly I am against an all rounder in test team because to me a test match should be played by specialists - 5 batsmen, 5 bowlers and 1 wicket keeper (not Kamran Akmal)

There are many decent batsmen in Pakistan's first class circuit who can be tried in place of many 30 plus current batsmen. We have wasted Asim Kamal and Yasir Hamid due to dirty politics and favouritism.

Mohammad Sami to Siddle, 1 run, dropped, short ball down leg, Siddle swishes at it, gloves it but it's dropped by the keeper to his left, should have taken it, the ball runs away for a single

^^^ guys we are doing good... we wont let Aussies win:pakistan:

Guys, the wicket is looking halwa for batting. Our bowlers aren't jokers, they're some of the best seemers around, so if they couldn't get the ball to do too much, the Aussies shouldn't have much success. However, the new ball and the pressure of a run chase can do weird things to batsmen, especially those as weak as ours.

Though, I have hope. If Siddle can score a career-high score, our top-order have no excuse. InshAllah, this match is ours.

Pakistan: 51 for 3
Top order crumbles! What a surprise! My eight year old sister has a stronger mind than some of these guys.

Farhat falls as usual, playing a foolish-stroke.
Faisal falls playing anuneasy shot, very down on confidence, he must be benched because nervousness is contagious.
Butt falls to an amazing catch by the keeper. I really hope Kamran Akmal is watching, wicket-keeping could be the deciding factor in this match.

Just can't handle pressure. It's right what the Aussie comentators have been saying, these young Pakistani players certainly have talent, they know how to play well, they just don't know how to win!

Edit
Pakistan: 77 for 3, require 99 to win at tea.
Still very doable. Yousuf looks in a sweet mood, he's timing and placing like a poet bounty hunter, beautiful yet menacing.

Bring a great stroker Saeed Anwar, a game winner always !!
Too old man. If we're going to do that, then why not bring back Akram, Waqar, Saqlain, Ijaz, Sohail, Inzi etc. Come to think of it, if we get all the ex-greats together to play a Test against our current squad, our current batsmen wouldn't last more than 20 overs!
Young teenagers nervous Farhat, Faisal, Salman
Teenagers?! They're all in the mid-to-late 20s. In Butt we had a terrific talent, the second-coming of Saeed Anwar, but we wasted his talent by not trusting him enough. There is still time, if we stick with him and let him grow as a Test and ODI batsman, hecan be a great player for us for at least 10 years. Look at Mohammad Yousuf, he's 35 and our best batsman by far, but he wasn't our best batsman when he was 25.
