Yeah but that's contingent on having decision-makers who actually care about their country. The ones leading our top political parties and state institutions have lives outside of Pakistan -- e.g., investments, family, property, etc. If the US (or UK) need anything, they just need to aim at those aspects; the discussion about Pakistan's national interests doesn't even register in these conversations IMHO. If it did, then it would look a lot like what you're talking about.Taking the correct decisions is only the first step. Following through and re-evaluating continuously are still needed to ensure that benefits result from the decisions made, both short term and long term.
