Pakistan heads for dirtiest election in years: Financial Times

They might not, but their agenda is to not see Pakistan prosper, so they would support those who will bring them closer to that objective, and who better for the job than the likes of the Sharfis and co.?
What's the agenda of an independent foreigner journalist? He was only covering a rally in Gujarat, but got this treatment from Punjab police. Is it normal to conduct elections like this?

army has problem of over reacting.i
think if free hand given to all parties then pmln and ppp may not win this time and easily replace by pti just like ppp ended in punjab in 2013 but using force will lead these parties play victim card in world and will result in political chaos

It's exactly what is happening. Journalists are attacked, sent to jail, local leaders in jail on false charges. Same old tactics. In the end voters suffer

IF imran khan performs and solves the economic crisis which is the most threatening problem for our national security, the victim card will cease to exist

these same publications were, however, unsuccessful in determining that irack did not have nuclear weapons!

ok but how fair were the last elections? How impartial were the interim provincial and federal governments?
these ppl are just too much. As for those who go against the security and larger interests of any state, they do so at their own peril. Just look at donald duck. He was forced to retract his statement only a few days ago regarding Russia!

The fact that enemy is so concerned about these elections makes me think that Pakistan is on the right track, as international establishment is feeling powerless here. They have been made irrelevant.

Also these same news houses use to scream about Democracy in Pakistan. Now that this was third democratically elected government who completed 5 years tenure they have problem. Fact of the mater is West only cares if their national interests are protected , a strong Pakistan doesn't suit west, US and India in particular. So such propaganda will continue.

But sure Pakistan has seen the worse. Good times ahead.

. . . . . . . . .
Bloomberg, Washington Post, New York Times, The Economist, Financial Times are run by PMLN? Shame on you. This is a Pakistani Politics forum and we are free to debate what international Media is writing about Pakistani elections

You assume that foreign media organizations are fair and impartial. They are not. And the fact that they are all saying the same thing does not mean that they are run by PMLN. It does mean, however, that they have the same interests, and those interests do not necessarily align with the interests of Pakistan.

The other thing to note is that just because many news sources have the same position on an issue does not mean that it is the correct position. In journalism, there is something known as setting the agenda. Major news organizations such as the New York Times and Washington Post set the agenda, while all the smaller media organizations just follow the same story, the same position, and even the same language.

To the uninitiated it would seem as if "everyone" is saying the same thing. But in fact, most media orgs are just following the agenda setters.
