Sir sorry if you misunderstood what i am trying to say.
We can live with Imported Crops but without drinking water.
Now Problem is Major Cities water are drastically going down and People and industries use it so carelessly as its infinite.

Now why i don't agree with Rain water in cities because
1> Cities expanding Mean Ceter is further away from any plain land where rain water has some effect.
2> Most of water immediately goes to drain. little remain Specially where ground is few feet below surrounding level will have little effect because of vaporization effect.

Now if we divert major Rain water directly e.g. 50~90ft deep in Ground it will have better impact.
& Not just rain All water companies should stop dumping(40~70% water due to high concentration of arsenic) water in Drain instead it should again goes back to ground & park/green belt. Car wash should also be restricted to 1 bucket Except Car Wash Center Max Once a month.

Your right, i did miss your point. Our urban centres are woefully inadequete with managing water. It's criminal. We don't filter our waste water, we don't have different guttering for rain water and waste, no reserviors, inadequete gutters even for the volume of water we face during monsoon season, no localised storage on the city perimeters. There are also no initiatives to recycle water or preserve water.

I think timing of projects was wrong metrobus like projects should be made after building dams they are needed but after dams are constructed as dam will help in generating billions of dollars which can be used to build many metro buses and trains without taking loans from other countries this was huge failure of pmln and previous govts

Sir but still many people don't accept this simple fact. & Not Metro also CPEC both Govt. said terms are very favorable but problem is none of the project will generate enough revenue to pay back its expenses.

Those who believe in Future Golden Eggs(Toll Tax From Highway) should give us maximum final date when will it start????

From other benefits one more thing which i usually forget to add. Is Deforestation. Massive Deforestation in Northern Area because harsh cold winter they rely on woods. More plantation is not a solution. Solution is alternative option i.e. Multiple Hydral Project. Cheap and sufficient enough to run every house on electric heater.

No Deforestation >>>> Less Silting >>> Dam Life Increased (Storage + Power).

Even if Punjab Govt. have invested in multiple small project of Run of River/Canals and Small Dams in Punjab region it would have been their golden Egg (Money making project) & would have help Nation by adding more Power in System.

Problem is that it vary a lot. And we don't have much Rain but yes snow fall. i don't know which tech you are talking of and how practical it is but its negative effect will be greater if we are talking about valleys because peak make no sense.

Not sure about others rivers in Kashmir But India has interfered in Neelum-Jehlum. flow has been greatly reduced compared to usual.

Believe me brother, it is a pure propaganda of your politicians to escape their responsibility.

Think your self, there are thousands of Himalayan ridges and thousands of kilometers distance between your water and our plains where it required.
Just see on Google maps, You yourself will know that this idea is impossible.

It will take a hell lot of earth moving, thousands of billions money and decades of time to move water of Jhelum or any j&k river to our plains.
It will cost us 1000rs/liters. Not possible.
If you think that we can use it in Panjab, then also it is not possible. Just not possible. It doesn't matter how hard we try. Moreover Panjab already have water. We require it in Rajasthan and Gujrat.
It will cost us more than gold.

Yes we are making dams, but they can be used only for making electricity. Water is invariably released back into river.

Regarding the shortage of water..
It is a global problem. Rain is reduced to almost half in entire sub continent.
Situation is much worse. You will feel more heat if we start withdrawing our share of water as per treaty. But we can't, we simply don't have that capacity.
