Pakistan has placed order of Russian Gunship Helicopters - Dawn

US has stopped Turkey from selling them to Pakistan as they are using US engines.

I really hope it is MI28 as Pak Army is looking for attack helicopters to replace aging cobras, but lets wait & see what has been ordered.

Still unknown, but if we look at the past Pak Army had shown interest in MI 28, so lets wait & see.

According to news going on live at Dawn TV, Pakistan has placed the order of Russian gunship helicopters. Which helicopters and what number of helicopters is not yet known. However, Mateen Haider has mentioned that ordered helicopters are of latest class.

According to report, helicopters will reach Pakistan in few days. That means they are to be used in war against terrorism and Indians wouldn't be able to make use of their tears.

Good news guys.. more news to follow.

Mi-35 is offering transport and firepower in one package. Mi-28 is dedicated gunship. we got cobras for that and they are doing fine.

Mi-28 carries more strings and diplomatic restrictions than Mi-35 and we can already see Indians going bonkers over Mi-35 ..they will have much more incentive to have the deal cancelled and sabotaged so lets not go there, lets learn to walk with the Russians before starting sprinting.

thats right at this moment getting the MI-35 would help Pakistan fight against Taliban militants but don't you think cobra s its getting old needs to replace by a potent platform like MI-28 as a counter to Indian apache in future if you can tie your relation with Russia ?

Helicopters normally dont go one on one in battle. Mostly they are for ground support

In Serious note, Abhi helicopter babhut door hai .... still has time.... its like Chinese SUB and J10B plane for PAF from last 6 years.

But yes russia will sell those for anti -terror operations.
