Pakistan has more nuclear warheads than India: report

If scientists said its succesfull, it will not ring a bell in your ears, but if he said it failed, it will sound like azaan service speakers...

Success or a failure both are very important data sources if you are going to build certain solutions.
It was pre-planned that data collected from the tests will be used to do virtual testing of the concepts, which would help if further improving the technology without going for real world tests.

ISRO has used it success and failed data to such a extent that they can virtualize most of the flights in test environments before taking up real launch. World is moving toward AI and ML and these big data sets are big driving force.

I hope you know those who try to build things, they have success and failure both and they learn from both to improve upon. I am not aware of any other region then western neighbor where everything succeeds and nothing fails other then there governance system.

I am not sure if you know or not, but when things fails system records more data and its analyzed more deeply vs success. Thus failure gives you more understanding on how things can fail and why things fail. So that you can reduce the reasons of failure.

One of the main objective of pokharan test was done to collect data for virtualizing tests in future.
Come to India and I can show you how some of those data reached university level research. Thats how you build generations of technocrats.

Buddy, a smart nation will never give another nation an excuse or a chance to ever use their nukes, rather try and destroy the adversary without firing a single shot. It's just a matter of patience and time. Wait and see. :p:
Its been 70 years we've been waiting and seeing but we all know about Indian cowards.

meanwhile the BAT team is looking for more heads to play soccer with

Concentrate on one point which is Indian test failed and you people can't make warhead based on failed designs and for this reason many Indian scientists suggest new round of tests...you can't change the facts.

Lets hypothetically take that Indian test failed to give desired result. In that case also unless you know that its design fault or if its implementation fault or if its deployment fault, you cannot reach to conclusion that warheads cannot be made.

There are plenty of documented history where minor rivet failure, lose test soil, cutting cable, fuse out etc have raised to undesired test results. That doesnt mean entire system is useless, once you find what failed and why, the solution is always there.

There are both overt and covert reasons for leaking statements in public. Otherwise how come these scientists turn ostrich most of the time, there head is unseen to most of the country.

Lols mien na manoun ghi......

Lady you do anything but can't change the fact that your tests failed to achieve desirable results and the warhead you have either air delivery old style or few for missile which many doubts can't fit on Indian missiles (too heavy and bulky).

You can live in your lalaland and enjoy wet dreams...

When I invited you to India to see some data that has reached to university level, you must have been smart enough to know that its not empty vessel that making noise here ....

Also go ahead and tell me that you are doing better YOY over the last 70 years. You guy's are really emotional fools who can't look beyond violence and war. This is a totally different ball game kid. There is something called strategy and I guess our defensive offence has already started to give results over the past few decades. :p:

We've slapped you indians in the face for 70 years thats very much sure.

If not sure, go ask your army generals who still after 70 years dont know which side of the border will the attack come from from Pakistani LOC or Chinese border

It actually makes alot of sense ... since India has a large stock pile of fissile material but not making warheads out of them meaning they are not having reliable warhead designs and are waiting for next test..

They don't want to put precious fissile material in faulty warheads that than would be difficult to dismantle

Pakistan has more nuclear warheads than India: report

STOCKHOLM: Pakistan now has 140-150 nuclear warheads as compared to 130-140 of India, with China hovering around 280, as per the latest report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), which was released on Monday.

According the report, the world’s nuclear powers are reducing their arsenals but they are also modernising, putting a fresh and "worrying" focus on strategic deterrence.

"The renewed focus on the strategic importance of nuclear deterrence and capacity is a very worrying trend," the SIPRI said.

"The world needs a clear commitment from the nuclear weapon states to an effective, legally binding process towards nuclear disarmament," SIPRI head Jan Eliasson said.

SIPRI, a well respected authority, said nine countries -- the United States, Russia, Britain, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea -- had 14,465 nuclear warheads at the beginning of this year, of which 3,750 were actually deployed.

This compared with 14,935 warheads at the start of 2017, SIPRI said, with the reduction largely due to the United States and Russia as they fulfill arms control commitments agreed in their 2010 START treaty.

The two countries between them hold more some 92 percent of total warheads, SIPRI noted, and they both have long-term modernisation programmes in place.

Russia in particular has in recent years re-stated the importance of nuclear weapons to its strategic defence, sparking concerns in NATO that Moscow might be more willing to use them in a crisis.

At the same time, Britain with 215 warheads, France 300, China 280, India 130-140, Pakistan 140-150, Israel 80 and North Korea 10-20, were all either deploying or planning to deploy new nuclear weapons system, it said.

"North Korea also demonstrated unexpected rapid progress in the testing of two new types of long-range ballistic missile delivery systems," it noted.
