Pakistan has bought these Beasts from Serbia

These systems can come handy on our western border. Artillery strikes on JUA camps across the border at the start of the year were quite effective. One of their top commanders along with a dozen fighters perished and many of their training compounds were destroyed.

But the constant bombardment for two days created a diplomatic issue with Kabul.

If the effective range of this system is 50km and we can use our proxies or intelligence operators to designate targets by laser, then it is pretty much like launching an air strike without our planes violating Afghan airspace. As it will be a precision(well sort of) strike, there won't be much protest coming out of Kabul.

This seems rather more likely than bunker-busting, for the simple reason that faced with this weaponry, I would build a multitude of bunkers. Even one missile per bunker (unmanned or remotely manned) will turn out to be prohibitively expensive. OTOH taking down very tightly configured targets has two results: the target goes down; there is MINIMAL collateral damage, and given the history of drone-based strikes, this is an important criterion.

It will be exactly a precision strike, given the last stage of laser-designation. Even otherwise, it is likely to be very effective against high-value targets.

Regarding Khafee's remark, I gather from it that both sides are using guided artillery shells; there is fairly authentic information about the use of Krasnopol by Indian artillery.

U can't send yr airforce across Afghanistan border. It will open a pandoras box. Will give india a reason to send thiers which will definitely not suitable at the moment for the region.
But u load a 500lb bomb on it send it across the border with pin point accuracy and no diplomatic issue.

First logical buy in some time.... O must say.

Pakistan not sending it’s warplanes into Afghanistan is what’s stopping Indian from doing the same in Pakistan? Hehehe gotta love these Indians!

Some thing hints that Pakistan is slowly developing capability to counter Indian offense conventionally
And I fully agree and sensible move. NASR was never a good idea because even use of one NASR would have led to full scale nuclear war so why just wast money on NASR if want nuclear war than go for all out nuclear war or fight a conventional war.

.
Cost also matters. GPS guided shell, would be much cheaper.

Nasr's warhead can be conventional as well.

PA even with conventional warhead will not use it in first line of defense, they will need them to use with TNWs and number of Missiles matters when enemy is huge and have good air defense too, also what I have learnt from my discussions with military officers is that all purchases are part of strategy / doctrine which PA have developed over the years, and during war games and exercises they came to know of shortcomings to implement the doctrine of 2 front war.

Frankly tired of Nuke this and Nuke that such a pathetic way of answering ,next should be more Mi-35s and Super Tucano if possible for close air support , 10 Mil a piece with impressive loads

These days Uncle SAM is not happy to sell with EMBRAER it might possible any way just a thought may be Pakistan can couple with BFT ?
Why the west? See the payload, most of it is from Roketsan, When China can come up with the JFT, they can surely come up with something comparable. Keep in mind for COIN loiter time is important, and a 6t+ payload will definitely help.

Alternatively, why not a drone, which could achieve the same?

I guess the only way forward for PAF is project Azm which has a long endurance UAV as well , I dont think Pakistan is going to the route of COIN aircraft (Which they should by the way) but rather all resources are channeled to Air Superiority with decent platform / Somehow ground support specially in Punjab area will be limited in 1 st phase of war with India .so my proposal was based on special role ,i.e another reason to have a heavier platform to complement JF17 with very low cost of operations

Actually the RTI activist Pankaj Darve, who claimed that has accepted that he mistakenly thought total number of deaths from all hostile and non hostile cause in army throughout India to be deaths on LoC.

Here is his Facebook page, you can ask him yourself:

I also have his phone number.
Oh really, is that why Indian newspaper haven't retracted the news yet.
Your claims are as credible as your fake ID.
@The Eagle @waz , the stray is back ...again.

.
That's because he never informed them of his mistake.
You can ask him yourself, stray.
All RTI replies in India are uploaded online, and no such RTI reply exists on the net.
And he has personally informed you.
where do you characters come from....may be you should advise him to inform the papers as it's humiliating for the Indian Army.
