What's new

Pakistan has become security state, says interior minister

No facade here. You are still being subjected to the very same geopolitics. Then it was OBL. Now it’s China.
As Snr Bush once said , “ Create a monster and start worshipping it”.

Also the real engineers of this situation haven’t changed. They are still external and still want balkanisation of Pakistan.

No problem.

Let's wait and see who is closer to the real state of affairs. I am in no rush. Pakistan will breakup only from within, if ever, because the outside world has no need nor desire to break it up to make a bigger mess.

Keeping it contained and manageable is good enough.

Pick up a map once in a while and try and locate Pakistan on it. You won't be surprised why we are a security state. Heck inshallah even if we become a developed country we will still have to spend copious amount on defense. US, India and Israel will not rest till the threat of Pakistan is eliminated. Inshallah all their plans and designs will fail.

"But they plan and Allah plans, and Allah is the best of planners"

Imran Khan went to Iran to create an understanding, find security solutions and fix diplomatic relations and here interior minister is saying "Iran should be dealt against very seriously."

What. Is he crazy?
Foreign office says one thing, PM says another so why should interior ministry stay silent.

He is known for suggesting Musharraf to harvest groups like SSP/LeJ for possible usage. What else do you expect from Brig Ijaz?
Source or sources? I haven't heard about this but if true that's a pretty serious issue.

The outside world has every desire and need to see us break up. How else will they contain China? We are the first step to that. Keep deluding yourself on that front. Though I don’t disagree we ourselves are enough to cause disintegration.

Because he is the interior minister, better he report to the PM and Security Agencies instead of talking on a public forum and making statements which are harmful to Pakistan's recent efforts.

If you look at GOVT no one seems to be on the same page which is very disappointing. What MR Querishi said before PM visit was not what we heard when our PM talked in Iran.

China's demographics alone are enough to contain it, so I am quite confident in what I have said above. In fact, I will repeat it: IF Pakistan breaks up ever , it is almost certainly going to be internal causes that do so.

There is absolutely no proof of that. At all.

Demographics have nothing to do with China being contained. It’s all economic warfare, in which the west is currently getting its a$$ handed to it by China. They follow the policy of waging war without a single bullet being fired. As for containment, the West cannot contain China without keeping it engaged locally. Hence the rise of the 56inch a..hole.. err .. chest..

If you had read all the stuff being churned out by think tanks in America, you wouldn’t be so confident. Also as i said I don’t disagree necessarily with the causes of a hypothetical (God forbid) Balkanisation. I disagree that the motivation is internal. It is most certainly being orchestrated from outside Pakistan .

It's okay by me. Events will support what I have said far more than your position. There is no need to argue for now. Let events take thier course.

If the only reason of debate is to support one stance or the other, then well said. No need to argue. The events you talk about will never take place insha’Allah. No power can undo Pakistan. It is here to stay.

I have no doubt Pakistan is here to stay. What I have said above is that IF it ever breaks up, it will be from internal strife, that is all.

But you just went and said exactly that. Let the events take their course and you would be proven correct. That would only work if the scenario of breaking up of Pakistan plays out.

No, I have said that IF it ever breaks up, it will be from internal causes. For example, it can ignore social development only for so long as it diverts resources towards its security.

You mean IF it ever happens, only THEN you would be proven correct? Sounds like a 50-50 chance. Also I don’t believe social development is suffering or being ignored because of resources diverted to security. But that is a different debate altogether.
